Morning, tame Millwall fan here.

All this allocation stuff is a bit of a red herring, in my opinion.

Whether Spurs give Millwall 1,000 or 4,000 tickets, it makes no difference to the security of the match. Millwall FF has just under 6,000 season ticket holders and another 10,000 or so members. To become a STH or member you have to hand in lots of personal information & a passport photo. This all gets passed onto the Met.

Therefore, no active Millwall hooligan is a season ticket holder or member. If Spurs gave Millwall FC 4,000 tickets (the same as Wycombe Wanderers) then they would all be snapped up by season ticket holders. Not for some hooligan day out, but because it is a big cup game at a big club in a grand old stadium we rarely get to visit.

There will be no trouble inside or outside the stadium from Millwall fans. When we play Charlton we get 3,200 tickets. All go to STHs. Despite the clubs being local rivals there is never any serious disorder, no pitch invasions.

I am also certain that you normal Spurs fans see us as just another small London club. Therefore, this is not like a fierce, historic rivalry like we have with your friends West Ham United. When we play at Upton Park nearly every single one of them is out to get us. This would not be the case at White Hart Lane.

The only reason this fixture is anymore high profile than Spurs v Charlton would be is because of the rivalry between the two firms - as both are the biggest and most active in London. Although, strangely, the last time the two met was when they teamed up at the World Cup in France to take on the Russians, along with Luton & Portsmouth hooligans.

They will meet up whatever, because that is what these serious hooligans do. However, the Millwall firm won't be in the ground. In fact, I think this will be quite a disappointment for the media and curious Spurs fans looking to gawp at the travelling zoo that is the nasty Millwall support. Our fans in the ground will all be normal, everyday people, more Danny Baker & Greg Wallace Millwall fans, than Tamer Hassan & Ian 'Tiny' Garwood Millwall fans.

In fact, it is much more likely that the real herberts on the day, well the ones that normal fans will see (as the hooligans will be off radar somewhere), will be the young lads with silly haircuts and snide designer clothes drinking cheap larger out to throw beer cans at the escort of Millwall fans. It will be a strange scene inside the ground too, as the silly haircut brigade will be spitting insults and threats to office workers and affable electricians etc. from Welling and Bromley.... while our hooligans are miles away.

As for the football, I fear for us. You lot look good and will take it seriously. Also, our record in London derbies is excellent, we often get the better of Chelsea, West Ham, Palace and even Woolwich. Our derby with Charlton is officially the most one-sided in English football. Yet, you lot...you always beat us. In the official head to head record we have beaten you 21 times - but most of those were in our hey day as the leading light of London football, the era where we earned our nickname the 'Lions', replacing 'Dockers'. In more recent times I was at The Den when we were riding high in the old First Division and rarely lost at home, in fact we had just gone unbeaten at home for a whole season for the 5th time a couple of years before, yet you blew us away 5-0.

My prediction for this one...

Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Millwall. Lions take shock lead. Harry to get a hat-trick, but not celebrate. Goes off to a standing ovation from both fans. Spurs fans miffed by how 'normal' the 3,000 Millwall fans are, but on way home log onto social media and read about 'street battles' that they never got to witness.

Spurs go on to win Cup.

Went to the brewers then walked up the high Road. Suddenly about 8 police riot vans come hurtling up the high Road. They all had to make a diversion around a learner driver at the Red lion junction. Who the Fuck takes a driving lesson through Tottenham in the middle of the millwall escort. Poor lad looked mortified.

Was at the den today as I've never been and wanted a little taste of next week. The squad is complete shit, they have no technically gifted players whatsoever. To think they were able to get past Leicester is incredible.

Best part of the day was when Millwall broke out into a we're coming for you Tottenham song and MK Dons responded with a Dele Alli, he's coming for you song.

Meeting a friend this weekend in London and taking her to her first ever football game. Jesus Christ it's going to be an eye opener.. 100% guaranteed crowd trouble from that away end. Glad for her sake we have seats on the shelf side. Throw something that far you piece of shit cunts :kaneshh:
Do you have photos of your friend? Just so we can keep an eye out for her safety....

Time for a true reflection of our big day out.

Turned out a bit flat to tell the truth. Ticket allocation was done on a points system so about 90% of these went to normal run of the mill fans. You must of been able to see this in the people who attended.
The early kick off and no beer sales in the ground or anywhere close added with the goals going in helped to keep us quite.
Those who wanted a punch up arrived on patch early doors and found nothing. It was by no means a large turnout as the OB were all over it. Unlike some we don't enjoy hiding behind police lines giving it in safety and being recorded at every movement.
The Son chants were not aggressive or racist just targeted at someone for a laugh. Believe me Gingers get it worse. I also don't think he was that bothered, his goals showed it didn't bother him.
I heard no hissing sounds, not our style. Miss heard as sssshhhhhhhh.
Couldn't believe that we all left together after the game and fuck all happened. The Met dealt with it very well and something we are not used too. Maybe others could learn from it.
You gave us a Footballing lesson. It was what we expected and fair play that you carried it off.
Genuinely hope you top the table in the near future and go all the way in the Cup.
I see you as the closest fans to us in today's football. Hope the new stadium doesn't change that.

Most important point!! So glad Rose and Walker didn't play.

And for smashing up one of our local boozers in 2001 you''ll feel the lions claw on Sunday not just hear our roar!

Well, my Spurs ticket has arrived in the post, so I guess this is a good a time to wish you farewell as any.

I think our reception in Tottenham from the home support on Sunday will be similar to mine on this forum… some interested & happy to chat, most unbothered or even a little nonplussed and a fee aggressive and hostile.

I will just sign off with these thoughts…

You will beat us and it could well be by 5 goals - but I can assure you it will not be in the manner that Woolwich rolled over for Bayern Munich. It will be because you are the far superior team.

Oddly, I am okay with this. As I wish Spurs & especially Harry Kane luck in winning the thing. Something we cannot do – and bizarrely we are the club in this tie that really need to be concentrating on the league. We are 6 points off automatic promotion & are chasing it with an elder in Morison and a bunch of academy products. We could do with a Semi-Final!

Not that we wouldn’t be over the moon to perform a miracle and reach it by beating the famous Spurs at White Hart Lane. 80 years ago we became the first team to reach the Semi-Finals outside of the top two divisions (since introduction of Div3 South & North). That was also the last time a team from outside the top flight beat 3 top tier teams in Cup, until we did it again this season. So, plenty to be proud of already anyway, but reaching our 6th FA Cup Semi-Final would be a great achievement for this knock-about club just off the Old Kent Road.

I hope there is no trouble – but fear there will be… somewhere.

I have noticed from visiting football forums over the years that while Millwall are widely condemned (rightly or wrong, I will not protest anymore on the subject) as a bunch of hooligans, many are proud of their own club’s ‘boys’… I guess that is football all over though. But remember that in the fall-out please.

NB: If you are going to discuss our history, I recommend the book 'Lions of the South' by James Murray (of Whisky Bible fame). One of the best history books on a club around. And will enlighten you beyond using wikipedia et al

Well, that was much easier than I thought it was going to be. I had planned a weekend away with the BF for his birthday, but cut it short so I could get to the game. To be fair, he didn't give me a hard time and drove me back at 8am this morning. I don't think I would have been so understanding if it had been the other way round, to be fair.
A bit difficult to give the game an objective critique. Were we that good or were they that bad? I thought some of the football that we played today was sublime, but reluctant to get carried away as we are talking about a mid-table, Third Division team, after all. We played it to perfection, and nice to go one better than that lot down the road.
Considering that I was expecting the Millwall supporters to completely drown us out, they were quiet to the extent, even the Paxton outsung them at times!
I won't be able to go to the semi, as I shall be with my mum, but as I have been at all the ones we have lost, might be better if I watch it on telly anyway!

Eric Dier says there are very few players in the world who can replace the injured Harry Kane – but he was encouraged that Tottenham scored six times without their star striker yesterday.

Kane is facing a spell on the sidelines, having limped off in the early stages of Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Millwall and left White Hart Lane on crutches, wearing a protective boot.

The 23-year-old – who had scored 15 goals in his previous 13 matches - twisted the same ankle that he hurt back in September, when ligament damage ruled him out for seven weeks and 10 games.

Another prolonged absence would be a major blow for Spurs as they prepare for the climax of the top-four fight and an FA Cup semi-final. However, the Lilywhites coped ably without their prolific frontman yesterday.

Heung-Min Son hit a hat-trick while Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Vincent Janssen also got on the scoresheet in a comprehensive 6-0 rout and Dier feels that bodes well.

“Obviously Harry is very important for us, he’s a big part of this team in many ways,” he said. “I don’t know how bad it is. Hopefully he’s fit as soon as possible.

“Apart from that it was great that ‘Sonny’ got a hat-trick and Vincent scored - that’s all positive signs and now hopefully they’ll step up.

“Can they fill the void? I hope so, they proved it yesterday. I hope everyone can pull their weight and we can keep going forward.

“There’s not many people you can replace Harry with in the world in football nowadays, but it’s a chance for someone else to step up and hopefully everyone will - not just the strikers but the whole team.

“We’ve got a very good squad, we’re on a good run, playing very well at the moment. We’re all very disappointed about Harry’s injury, and hopefully he gets back as quickly as possible because he’s very important for us.

“But as a team we can keep improving, keep playing this way and hopefully keep this run going.”

Dier added: “I think we did really well from the beginning [against Millwall] - we started well in every way.

“In previous rounds, especially against Wycombe at home, we started badly and it has become difficult. It was important to start well and we built on that and made it very difficult for them.”

When Kane suffered his previous injury in September, it thrust summer signing Janssen into the spotlight, but the reserve striker was unable to make the most of the opportunity.

He started seven out of the 10 games that Kane missed, yet his three goals in that period all came from the penalty spot – and his following strike against Wycombe in January was also a spot-kick.

The £17million man ultimately went 29 games without scoring from open play for Spurs – but that run finally came to an end yesterday as he came off the bench and struck the fifth goal against Millwall.

“It’s tough coming from a different country,” said Dier. “I don’t think people realise how tough it is, especially if you look at where Vincent has come from in such a quick period of time – from where he was and where he is now.

“I think he’s just adapting to everything. Everyone was obviously delighted he scored the goal. I’m really happy for him and hopefully he can score lots from now.”

Tottenham have joined Manchester City and Woolwich in the last four of the FA Cup, while Chelsea or Manchester United will complete a heavyweight quartet tonight, shortly before the semi-final draw.

There has been a growing concern that the competition is losing its magic, and that the biggest clubs are taking it less seriously these days.

But Dier said: “I think the semi-final line-up speaks for itself really. That’s all you can say isn’t it. They’re going to be great semi-finals and a final, and hopefully it works out well for us.

“I think everyone’s really excited. It’s great for the fans, great for the neutrals, great for the FA Cup. They’re two big semi-finals at Wembley and it’s going to be really interesting, and hopefully two great games.”

Dier: Spurs Are A MUCH Better Team Without Kane

Eric Dier has risked the WRATH of Spurs fans by saying Spurs dont need Harry Kane to win games. This follows earlier comments from Dele Alli who said he was "very pleased" about Kane´s injury.

The rift in the camp couldnt come at a worse time for Tottenham who have won just one game since their last victory against Everton.
Eric Dier, who has not played all season since Pochettino dropped him for Wanyama is reportedly unhappy with Kane after an incident our sources tell us.

Oh dear. This has gone (even more) downhill.

Well, I had a decent time. It was great as a football fan to see a display of pace and technique live; even if that meant your own team getting destroyed. Alas, over the decades I have seen us get thrashed by Rotherham & Watford, even Grimsby Town one year - so you get hardened to it. And I had no expectations anyway.

As for all the other nonsense - on a personal note it was an easy away day. Got train to WHL, enjoyed a nice stroll along to the ground no bother, mingling with other normal fans from both sides, and went in and admired the ground. The only silly bit was the people filming and shouting on the corner near away end.

After the game a Spurs fan even helped with best route back to station, and chatted to others about the game.

I don't define myself or my club by the actions of a few hundred 'hooligans' - so that is why I had a pretty standard day out. Unless you are a hooligan I am not sure why anyone would care who did what or who went where.

Good luck v Chelsea!
