This is so fucking stupid. Carlito talking about how the Spurs fans are too old to protest.

How about we are old enough to understand that we can't expect the club to punch above it's weight consistently.

How about we're old enough to understand that it takes time to build something solid.

How about we're old enough to understand the dangers of over spending.

How about we're not so immature that we expect instant gratification.

Anyone protesting the ENIC ownership has got to be completely and utterly retarded.

Their main objection seems to be that the owners are just there to make a profit. They don't do it like the Glazers; by financing the purchase through huge loans that they make the club pay back through its revenue. They don't run away with the profits. Nope, the evil, devious fuckers are doing it by building fantastic infrastructure; the best training grounds in the league(?) and a glorious new stadium.

The cheap cunts don't spend City, Chelsea or United money on players either. The fact that City and Chelsea lose a shit ton of millions of pounds each year, and the latter owes its owner hundreds of millions isn't something we should concern ourselves with. Neither is the fact that United earn a hundred million pounds per year more than us simply from jersey sponsorships. Were we get the money from is not our concern, we should spend, spend, spend.

The simple fact of the ENIC matter is:
- We keep punching above our weight.
- We do so while building impressive and very costly infrastructure.
- And while promotion impressive youth from an academy that was far less impressive pre ENIC.

We are probably one of the best run clubs in England.

But fuck all that, we didn't get that pretty decent striker off of WBA, after only bidding enough money to make him the third most expensive signing in the history of the club. ENIC out!

Pray, explain to me exactly how we are punching above our weight?!?!?!

Anything except Chelsea, Man City, and more recently Man Utd (who were run superbly until 2 years ago). It fucking hurts to say it but Woolwich are run way better than we are.

People keep saying how well run Woolwich are, which is fucking bullshit - twice the bullshit when someone who thinks Levy is cheap says it.

From 97/98 to 04/05 they won three times and came second five times. Since then they've been third four times and fourth six times. They have clearly regressed, despite not having had disruptive manager changes and despite having CL money.

In the same period of time we have progressed from mid table to top four contenders. Without cheat money, without a steady income of CL money.

Progressing without CL money is better than regressing with it. Woolwich were extremely lucky not to lose out on CL on several occasions.

We're a much better run club.

We need an ip check on tbone because he's either clinically insane or working for the clubs PR department.

Tell you what tbone, how about a little bet that we won't "overachieve" this year. How about a sixth points spread bet.

80 pound a point. What are you saying tbonepremier

If I'd bet you'd be right. I am a jinx master.

But I'm confident that we'll get sixth or better.
Mate, 4th would be punching above our weight. 5th / 6th par. 7th and below not good. You have a weird sense of perception if this isn't how you view our club. I categorically fail to see how we're punching above our weight. Southampton last season is punching above. Not us.

We've been fourth twice, sixth only once, and above Liverpool four of the last five years.

It's not like we're flyweight ko'ing heavy weighters, but we're doing a bit better on the points table than the resource table.

What we are definately NOT doing is underperforming. So Levy, Poch, ENIC and the players can stay. And they should get time and support to do their jobs as efficiently as possible. They should not have to face an "[insert name] out" campaign, which isn't deserved and will be nothing but destructive.

Better run than Woolwich! Any arse fan reading this forum would be in stitches, this is delusion on a grand scale.

I don't think things are that bad. I remember TAG and how great it was to get rid of Sugar but things were a lot worse then. Now we needed a striker so we tried to get Berahino and failed but we've still got one of the best strikers in the country and spent £40 million quid on attacking players with pace. When Sugar was in charge we had Armstrong and Iversen for years who, when they weren't injured, were rubbish. When we desperately needed strikers we signed Dave Mcewan from Dulwich Hamlet. I can't see how that's comparable. Things aren't perfect at the moment but let's just get on with it and make the Lane a fun place for us to go and hell for the away team.

You just said we were better run than Woolwich. Why shouldnt we expect to be better than them?

How about we're old enough to understand that it takes time to build something solid.
It would take a lot less time if we didnt keep destroying the foundations and starting over again.....and again.....and again.....and again.......................

How about we're old enough to understand the dangers of over spending.
When we bid for Berahino, would we have been overspending? If we signed Njie and Son 2wks before the season started would it have been overspending?
Is it dangerous to plan your transfer window too? Or is it just yet another shit excuse from you before you backtrack and claim you are simply bad at explaining things...........

How about we're not so immature that we expect instant gratification.
There is nothing instant about 2 Carling Cups since 1999. The last one was seven years ago now.

If no one complains then Daniel Levy continues to assume that he's either doing a great job, or we can't see through his smokescreen and bullshit, pressure is put onto the players and manager so its about time that applies to the chairman and his decisions. There are a lot of myths that the pro-Levy brigade cling to such as what a fantastic negotiator he is transfer wise, he has a reputation within the game, not a good one and it tarnishes the reputation of the club.

We've gone backwards for the last few years and it's been poor decision followed by poor decision. Did we really need to spend all of that Bale money in one go? Common sense would have seen us spend half or two thirds of it and then spend the rest later on. In the January transfer window we would have had funds to spend on players from Champion League dropouts that could have really made a positive difference in the second half of the season.

What kind of idiot gives Adebayor a four year deal without any get-out clauses given his reputation? Everyone could see that was going to end in tears.

With a new stadium on the horizon these should be exciting times to be a Spurs supporter but they aren't! People are depressed, even disinterested in their team and he'll find that he struggles to fill the new stadium if the footballing decisions continue to be poor. A half full stadium will make it harder to sell the club.

Levy either sorts out his shit or goes, enough is enough.
