It is odd to see 7.30pm ok again. *old fart alert* Every midweek game used to be this time when I was a young ‘un. 7.45pm rarely but 8pm never.
Started changing a bit for tv but loads used to complain about getting there late. And that was when if you weren’t on the terracing an hour before ko you were either at the back or fighting your way further down.
That reminds me of Villa at home 78/79.
Ossie and Ricky's home debut. They opened the gates at 5.30 that evening. Got home from school, changed and went straight down to the ground. We got down there at 4.15 and there were already big queues forming.

I’d rest a few players here. Fa cup on Saturday against Southampton is far more important. Win that and we are in the quarter final .

The possible combination of not beating Norwich at home and -2 degrees in the stands tomorrow night will result in me entering hibernation until August.

Ndombele and Hugo are back in full training, I assume tomorrow is too soon, certainly for Hugo, but maybe Ndombele could be good to play?

Would love to look forward to a game again (or just not dread them). Hard to see where the next win is coming from with the club in a tailspin and continuing to ignore the blatant issues in our squad.

Lose this one and Saturday will follow imho.

Must win.

I'm pretty sure we will win this one, Foyth won't be playing this one and he was the main reason we didn't win at their place.

Trouble is we've got more than enough unpredictable maniacs to replace him in our defence. As usual against this kind of team I'm nervous that Norwich will get an early goal and spend the next 80-odd minutes defending and time wasting with 10 behind the ball.

And if I'm nervous imagine how the players must feel.
