We have 2 shots on target, at home, against a team who are 20th, before scoring a last-minute winner, in a game we should have lost. And the "outs" only goes up by 1-2%.

Some of you are seriously delusional if you think this is going to change. Welcome to the new Tottenham, where we finish outside of the top 6.

Perhaps hold off getting a bit smug until you've manage to not fuck yer post up....

Did we win ? Was it VAR again ? I thought we drew.

There is a guy called Harry Kane to consider in all this shit show.....absolutely no service today, none at all, now the guy wants to win things at Spurs and I honestly believe he would take 1 PL title and maybe a CL title with us over 10 at Barcelona or wherever, but just important to Harry is individual accolades, he prides himself on scoring goals, ever striker should and he wants to break records, he has also been doing that, but right now he is looking like a championship player absolutely starved of chances.....It’s only a matter of time he talks to Levy and Levy needs to listen!

Kane owes us for the rubbish he served up in the CL final which we reached mainly from other players' efforts. Shutting up and putting more effort in would help right now.

Amazed that so many people in the media are wise after the event. It shows how little they actually pay attention to the political and footballing dynamics of the game. This was a problem from almost three years ago....the last season at the old White Hart Lane stadium. Spurs had their best season and their best team for 50 years and at the end of that season Levy and the English National Investment Company reacted to this by...selling their right back for 50 million to a rival that was struggling in that position. They replaced him with a 30 million Aurier. The remaining 20 million where did that go? Everyone should have joined us in highlighting them by exposing their real intentions - to use the football club as an asset in a business portfolio including building a new stadium without putting in a penny of ENIC's considerable wealth and making fans and the team pay for the pleasure. When they sell their portfolio asset, not a penny will go to the people who actually paid for it.
Ever since, it has been a typical marketing propaganda campaign to con fans to think that ENIC wants the same thing for the club as they do so that it can keep extracting wealth by stealth. Until "football fans" wake up to the con that is business ontology, they will always be taken for a ride in modern football, unless their team is owned by a sovereign oil state to whom money is literally confetti and football is basically an exercise in sports washing. Portfolio stadiums don't win trophies top players do. Hosting NFL matches is more important than winning trophies for them so don't expect them to win a trophy. And now the players (and Poch) realize the con they play like empty ghosts. Just amazed fans are swallowing this stuff. All that remains of my club are the colours - the rest is an ENIC expression.
One trophy in 19 years of ENIC ownership, and its reaction to the 16/17 brilliant team we had should show us all what the real intentions are and expect nothing more than what has happened. Until we free our club from these forces we will always live a fans life of disappointment.

A couple of things:

Player sales - What is the alternative? Walker didn't leave Spurs because of Levy, he left because of Poch and not being able to handle being 2nd fiddle to Trippier. There is potentially an argument to sell abroad but who was going to buy him and pay anywhere near £50m for him?

You could of course refuse to sell to a competitor but then you end up with an Eriksen situation where the player ends up leaving on a free and everyone gets shafted. The Walker deal looks worse with hindsight because Trippier ended up leaving and we replaced him with Aurier. If we had seen world cup Trippier over his career here and he were still here then nobody would care that we sold Walker. That falls on Poch more than anyone.

For the rest of your post, most of what you say is factual and fair but it's not necessarily a bad thing when you consider what the alternative is. The alternative could easily be Leeds or any other number of clubs that spend a fortune and have nothing to show for it (just look at Everton, every season!). Levy has built our club using a business model that is sustainable while gradually improving the squad as a whole from ENIC's early days. I've said it before in this thread that the lack of trophies should not be blamed on Levy. We've been to plenty and plenty of QFs, SFs and finals, if our players and management can't get the team over the line in those one-off matches then that is their fault.

I don't like the way that fans are taken for granted under ENIC/Levy but you only have to look a couple of miles down the road to see that the grass isn't always greener. It's not ideal having an investment company not pump their own money in but ultimately we've been given one of the best stadiums in the world, many years of steady improvement and the most expensive squad we've ever seen at Spurs. As you mention, what takes you to the very top is the oil state money but is that what we're really after?

Well that might just be on the manager for playing him.....anyhow Kane won’t put up with 1 chance a game for much longer I can guarantee you that.....
This current manager can’t fix our problems, I mean he literally played a back 7 first half today and I don’t think we had a clear cut chance against frigging Watford🙄
Sure he can complain about just about every thing under the sun as to why we are struggling, and he can say “stay calm until January” until the cows come home, but if anyone thinks January is the answer then we are truly fucked.

I must say Pochettino has given us some of the best times in the PL era, but he’s now dishing up some of the worst, and considering the pool of players he has at his disposal, 2019 has to be seriously considered one of the worst periods in that same era....

Love Poch or hate Poch, Love Levy or hate Levy this rut needs to end, and ENIC won’t sell up over night so the only alternative is a new set of ideas at the playing end of things.

Levy isn’t blameless in all this either, new stadium, thanks mate, but it’s not your money paying for it it’s fucking our money, shirt sale after shirt sale, bottom filling pint after bottom filling pint and season ticket after ticket sale.....he has mortgaged us for the next 30 years, and that’s just down right presumptuous of him, when that all dwindles away he will fucking sell up, tourists can only do so much and when players like Son are not in the CL window anymore those groupies will find a new poster boy, they follow the player not the club.....

It

It's a country very, very similar to Scotland but when the locals are drunk you can still understand what they are saying. That's about the only difference.
Not to mention unpronounceable place names that can only be said with a mouthful of phlegm.

Don’t think it will make a difference.

Levy is not forking out the 30 million to sack him. Only way he goes is if we are in a relegation fight around January.
People seem not to understand that Levy simply doesn't care about the football side of things. To him, we're just a business.

Perfectly put.

Poch is clueless about what to do and the players aren't putting up a fight for him.

In CL I'm sure we're back to 4-4-2 end the diamond again. And against Liverpool who knows. 5-3-2 like yesterday? I'm out of hope now. Just hope Levy realises that enough is enough after the Liverpool game.

this has been going on since Feb, its not just this season, Levy had the last 2 weeks football free to get a new manager in, but didn't
once again Levy has shown at Football Levy is completely lost, he's given Poch & his coaches a deal that makes he too hard to sack, he gave him the deal as he hoped a fish would come in and buy out the contract but who will do that now

Some people say let's bring in a new manager then we'll see what Levy's ambition is.

ONE league cup in NINETEEN years, that tells it's own story. The era where we could have won trophies is over.

The players have failed.

Poch has failed

Levy and ENIC have failed.

Get in a new manager, might have a little spike before he realises he can't make copper into gold, gets sacked and the circle continues.

We are a successful business, with a good training ground and a good stadium. We won't go bankrupt but we won't win the league or even be a cup side like we were in the past.
