Anyone moaning about Walker just fuck off. He was our best player today. Unlucky to score an og, he had to try and nick the ball away or Rooney had a tap in.

We're too slow in our build up, and we have been for some time. We lack the creativity to unpick defences when the opposition has 10 men back. Pace is cheaper than creativity - let's buy some. Also we'd be better to watch.

Be good if we could have a really focused week in training building up to this one so that, for once, we are actually ready for the first couple of games of the campaign. Would hate to be pissing around in some pointless overseas tour, knackering the players and staff a couple of days before the start of the English season...

Im not normally a melter / pessimist but that lineup is very un-inspiring. Sub keeper, second choice left back, no right winger, no striker on the bench and a centreback playing in midfield. Happy to see the Moose in there but thats about it

Oh the melting! Bentaleb having a really bad game no doubt and Dier no help at all, all we have to do is get behind that first layer of midfield and it's open season, like we did first 20 mins, their keeper looks like someone who won a prize to play for United

We can get something back against these franchise cunts, shame they get every decision mind

Remind me. What keeper had more to do? We were unlucky. It's one game in. Against a team who have once again spent hundreds of millions away.

I hope those who cunt Mason off noticed how better we looked when he came on.

Today was the day when Nabil was freed up with a DM. Yet it didn't quite happen.
Why people expect Nabil to score and create goals if a DM unshackles him is so simplistic and based on one decent showing at Newcastle really.
Nabil is a decent player. With a decent left foot shot. A bright prospect. However, he's never really been consistent in his goal scoring or that prolific, yet.

In fact Mason was top scorer in 2008/9 29 goals in 31 games for U21's age 15/16 whereas Nabil got 4 in 14 in 12/13 age 16/17.

I hope people don't expect too much from Nabil and Kane. They, like Mason, are still learning the PL.
We are quick to trash players that do a consistent good job, whilst we build up others only to trash them when they don't meet expectations.
