surely if he passes his medical then we're wrong to get rid of him and he just needed more 1st team action to recapture his timing/form?
The guy was the absolute shit in that first couple of years in 4231 or 3421.

No.

Andy Carroll has passed a medical at all of the clubs he's signed for. Means fuck all. He's capable of playing football and he's as fit as a professional footballer needs to be. That's all they need to really know as well as whether or not he has any true heart problems.

surely they'll totally focus on his previous injuries and test his knees out, not just check he can run about a bit. Hes going ot be their record signing.

It's the Belgian League.

He's not a cripple. He just can't handle Premier League football at the highest level. He'd probably get into most teams in the bottom half of the table.

Anyone know what our net spend will be if this deal goes through and we sell GKN & Wanyama for a combined 20 mill?
Assuming the total for loaning and buying Lo Celso is £50m and we sell Wanyama for £10m I make the net spend year 2019 about £75m. Maybe £10m for Aurier = net £65m.
Plausibly selling Eriksen for £50m = net £15m.

Demba Ba’s knee was reportedly a split second from exploding but he managed to still sign for Chelsea and a few other clubs. As long as they don’t expect him to race about like Kante he should be ok. His power just seems to have gone. He was getting pushed off the ball which never used to happen.

Still no stadium naming rights in sight as well. This will be our biggest net spend summer since forever right? Wonder how we will operate in the next few windows given we still have problems.

If you watched him play last season it was obvious he had gone. Mind you he still looked better than Wilshere has done this season.

Levy just refinanced the stadium debt and as you say still the naming rights money to come in.
We'll be fine I think but even if we don't sell Eriksen we will have our biggest ever net spend but it's not unmanageable.

I think he will be missed (well, the Victor of two years ago). But if he's not up to the physical vigours of the Premier League, then the best thing for both parties is to let him go. If we get a reasonable sum for him, all the better.

Indeed. And passing a medical only requires Wanyama to be 'fit' in that moment. It doesn't legislate for his knee exploding spontaneously 5 minutes later.

Yeah maybe a good time to part ways. Such a shame injuries slowed him down. He was simply immense when he joined us. Will always remember him fondly. Seemed like a real humble guy too.

Tottenham are in talks with Belgian side Club Bruges over the transfer of midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The 28-year-old Kenyan, who joined Spurs from Southampton in 2016 for £11m, could move to the Jupiler Pro League leaders for an initial £9m.
