It's hard to tell with Sammyspurs sometimes whether he's joking or not.
Always easy to tell if you're joking or not though. If it's not funny you're obviously joking. Seedless Sammy.

Always the back to the sex with you. Tut tut.

I don't see any point looking as far back as 10 years. What does it tell?
Look at our team 10 years ago? Those are 2 absolutely separate teams. By personell, by style, by coach, by mentality...

P.S - last English team visiting them- Burnley.
Well, you sure that we should benchmark us after Burnley?

Its a quote from the Spurs (OS) article.

It is a marker that Olympiacos is a decent club, and like Ajax may not be as highly rated as once it was, but still to have beaten Woolwich 3 times (and ManU once) in the last 10 years is a decent reminder not to take them for granted as an easy win.

Anyone taking ANY Champions League game lightly, is a fool of the highest calibre.

It's a massive game really. Get a win away from home against this lot and it's one foot in the door for the knockout stages very early on.

Got to be patient, ride the heat and atmosphere over there and got to know that if we act professional that our class will ultimately give us opportunities. No pissing about at the back, no silly corners or free kicks given away, push them into areas that won't hurt us as much I want to see a professional and accomplished defensive display. The result is the only thing that matters.

Exactly. Need to learn from the group stages last season. That was the blueprint on how not to qualify but still qualify.

Mental? You want to know what is mental? to say that player XX or YY has played = hence he is match fit = hence he should play. And others who have been on the bench = not match fit = should not play.
And this in the period when we have games with 3 days apart? So maybe we should just continue with the exact 11 who played against Palace the whole season? Maybe we could scrap others and save wage money then? :D BTW - in this game - Aurier started (and starred) - how many minutes had he played previously (+during preseason?) - yea. 0. So according to your logic he shouldn't have played?

Look, there are other considerations than time played. I think if Alli has recovered from his injury he should play. Fit Alli is more useful than Lamela. Davies and KWP already have to play due to the fact that they are only fullbacks who traveled there. Now Moura-Son is the biggest questionmark yes- but are you saying that Moura is so much worse option than Son, so that he should just look from the bench most of the games now?

Ndombele seems like our best CM, so just the fact "but our previous game line-up worked well" does not seem like legit point. Because before that, in all other games Sissoko-Winks midfield did not work almost at all (maybe with exception of Woolwich 1st half)... And I've been talking about the need to at least have an option for defensive shield in CM (Ndombele is not yet tracking back yet) so I'd like to see Dier tried there.
Surely it’s quite obvious that those who have played matches are match fit and those who have sat on the bench are not?
Maybe we should just rest everyone tonight and save the strongest team for the weekend in the hope we can qualify for the CL next season and then rest players to qualify for it again : ostrich:

Exactly.

We can rest when we've won 4 out of 4 and qualified.

You don't need to rest people in September.

Maybe when your 4-0 up at half time at home in the PL you could make a couple of early subs to give players who need it a rest and to keep others sharp
