The whole high road west redevelopment seems to be gathering pace. Not sure if it looks nice, or soulless and is going to take ages to do. The residents seem to be getting a good deal out of this, as they are getting a swanky new gaff, but the traders are getting the old archway treatment.The price of progress I suppose.

Why can't they give the existing businesses the new shop units.
As long as they don't massively increase the business rates.

I assume they will want to fill it all with Pret, Starbucks and Yo Sushi and the like. Full on ‘gentrify’ the place, all high end expensive stuff that people don’t really want. Seems to be the plan inside the stadium as well, all cheese rooms and Michelin dining. Sign of the times.
