club has invested money in players, trouble is too many turned out to be duffers,
we arn't Chelsea who first had a suger daddy now had £1.5BN debt knocked off before they were sold and can afford to buy 3 or 4 high price players to get 1 or 2 good ones

The rebuild of our strike force after Kane/Son will be a complete mess downgrade as the incompetence of the defence and wingbacks positions.
We have largely a crap version of our defence from 5 years ago, that besides Romero is bottom half quality.
Wingbacks unbelievably bad and 100 miles away from peak Walker/ Rose.
Interesting to see what punts will be occupying the front positions next season.
The transfer philosophy of our ownership is so shit that any slight opportunity is wasted.

Club has invested (wasted) money in punts on average wages.
We probably could have paid less in fees on proven players on higher wages, or dealt with agents we avoid. But nope, follow the tried and failed formula of young(ish) players with high ceilings.
