Regardless of City and their sportswashing bollocks, we were well off the pace imo and probably didn't deserve to win anyway.

Was the team having four days off too much?

The long gap between games probably made a bigger difference.

It’s an excuse but tbh I’m happy we didn’t get any injuries and we can build some rhythm.

Based on that we have much better levels to find and we will beat them in the league.

Frustrating.

I suppose City deserve it but Fuck’em. Looking forward to their relegation.

A lotof commitment tonight, but the quality is missing in the final third.
Yea, the defence is excellent now and we have good options in the midfield 2. The issue is clearly the front 4 and we really need a couple of real quality players there. Son 32 next season and Maddison quite fragile could maybe even be 3 more.

So glad that Madders is back though, and got a few minutes into his legs.

Even less games to ‘worry about’ now as we hit the second half of the season.

No excuses, especially when our AFCON / Asia cup players are back.

We never ever tried to win tonight. City did. They weren't brilliant, actually far from it...that's how shit we were that they could be at 30% and still beat us. Proper Nuno/Jose/Conteball scared puppy bullshit.

It wasn't a foul on Vic. That goal exemplifies how the game went...we kept fucking about in front of our own box, giving the ball away in an idiotic manner time & again, no aggression at all shown on that corner. And bam, that's how you concede a shitty goal you tools.

Were we watching the same match?? It was very close, very competitive, we just lacked the cutting pass from midfield.

Referee allowing impeding of Vicario at most corners - its a foul but not given. Ridiculous refereeing.

No idea why referee didn't book Dias in first half - probably should have had 3 yellow cards and sent off or if not sent off when referee did finally book him in 2nd half

But it is what it is.

Our manager missed one 2 day ... Every corner city put a player right on the keeper... And eventually it paid off.... One of ours on the city player pressurising our keeper would have stopped it.
The defenders and Vic should know better as well though. That's sunday league stuff; don't let the opposition sit someone on the keeper. Just dumb for guys at this level to let it happen consistently

What does a dive in your own box result in? Indirect free kick? I guess VAR cant give those? otherwise Walker did a really obvious dive when he was chased by Werner

Honestly, in terms of keeping it simple and ‘pure’ football…non-league/Sunday league is where it’s at in terms of the simple pleasures of watching two teams get stuck in.

Pie and a few beers on the side, chat some shit with mates, jobs a good ‘un.

Yep. I. Going to start watching League 2 Crawley Town.

Get as many tickets as you want. £17.

Where is the enjoyment in watching the same team (a financially doped, nation state team) win every trophy going every season?

Utterly pointless.
