My thoughts exactly (on both fronts)....
I don't think Lamela is clever enough or calm enough in possession to take his game up to the next level. I've seen flashes of it but if we were to get a player of Brooks' quality in Erik would definitely be one I could see moving on.
I think the squad needs trimming to make space for new quality to push on and whilst I love Erik as a Spurs player, I love Spurs more and always want to see us find ways to improve

Harry makes a good point. I would suggest that we can improve our squad. Someone in reserve who is capable and willing to grab the chance when they get it.
Llorente is gone in the summer as in Janssen. How about a decent prospect who has quality and is willing to sit, wait and learn?
