ISIS is another option. Have some money with the oil fields and are looking to expand their brand in the west.
Reckon there'd be a loosening up on the rules of what could be brought into the stadium too..

Steward "sorry, you can't bring those flares into the ground"
Fan "ok, what about this ak 47?"
Steward "allahu akbar"

With regard to Chelsea's owner not wearing a Chelsea kit when he was a kid. Did our owner run around with a Spurs kit on? My guess is no.

Who goes to most of the club's games, Chelsea or Spurs' owner? This I know the answer to, it's Chelsea's owner.

So who is nearer to the club's roots? Answer, Chelsea's owner. Does it actually matter, not at all to me.

What I care about is trophies, glory. Who gives most to their club, Chelsea's, that's why I think Chelsea have a better owner than we do, That's why I think Chelsea and City's owners are better than the owners of every other club in the country, not just ours. They give their clubs undreamt of, unbelievable trophy returns, they have transformed their clubs. If we could get an owner as good as those two clubs I would love it.

I have been going on about the threat West Ham may pose for years now, ever since they got the OS. It could be a game changer, and there's a far greater chance of them pushing us into 4th place in London (for a child of the 60s like me that is sooooo sad BTW), via a billionaire benefactor, than when they were still at Upton Park.

I thought Daniel Levy was a life-long Spurs supporter? And he's always around, isn't he. I know he's only the chairman but surely it must count for something.

I despise West Ham more than Woolwich and almost as much as Cheatski. I blame the 90's for that hate. Sugar made us almost their rivals !

However, The quality of West Ham's PR is amazing , Look at those great marketing pictures of the Olympic Stadium with all that Claret and Blue and statutes of Spurs wannabe Bobby Moore and you would think wow what a result.

However, those knuckle draggers need to wake up and realise what is going. The Stadium is leased to them only 25 match days per year. When not in use by West Ham the "branding" is not allowed. It's not their "home"

There is no agreement for statues of Bobby Moore / Bobby Barnes or Phil Parkes allowed in or around the stadium.

All that Claret and blue must be taken away on non match days. there is no museum allowed to showcase the times when they came 5th and went up via playoffs.

Nor is anyone being honest about the retractable seats nonsense, the other views being a joke due to the athletic legacy bullshit ( look at the Barcelona Olympic Stadium debacle for how bad these stadiums are for football ) + there are some great aerial shots showing that The Boylen Ground completely fits inside the track area of the Olympic Stadium.

Oh and the 54000 revenue is 50000 maximum paying customers as Newham have 4000 "free" tickets for Newham council staff guaranteed each and every match day for years to come - good luck with high pricing on tickets when a fair chunk are free !

And the remaining revenue is not 100% West Ham's as they have to share a % of that with it Newham also. Nor can they get 100% of the naming rights nor can they ( I think ) collect all the corporate revenue, they might get 100% of the pork scratching sales. So might be able to afford a % of Fat Sam's compensation payment.

The Upton Park sale is less than expected & given they must be debt free to move ( without penalty ) they are not getting near the top table anytime soon as the revenue stream is so low they can't buy their way anywhere.

West Ham have been asset striped, but have managed to get their idiot fans to smile about it, better than Turkey's voting for Christmas. ENIC saw this bollocks and went with a proposal that did not cover over the cracks. Those with less honesty sold out their club and fans.

But let's not let facts get in the way of a good story "plucky old West Ham......potential Champions of Europe when the Middle East save the day". They are move Coventry City than Manchester City and although it's frightening to think of them doing "reasonable well" I think we can sleep easy for a few generations yet.

Shame they did not go bust under the Icelanders :-(

Cracking post, wish I could like it twice.

Well, it'll be fun to see what happens to the fan base if we turn into Chelsea or City overnight. Although I have to wonder how Middle-Eastern owners will handle a kosher fanbase?
Our fanbase is predominately gentile. The scum up the road have more Jewish fans than us. Nobody had a meltdown when their depot was sponsored by Emirates.

allah akbar you spurs!!!!

Come on mate, the amount of hipster fans we picked up with the CL run and gimmick signings like Dempsey, has already filled the ranks with five minute wonder nouvelle spurs experts. The fanbase is unrecognisable from what it was even ten years ago.

Yeh but it's still a good fan base at the moment overall but imagine if we get CL run after CL run, we might get the below coming over.

Also why do people keep referring to Joe Lewis like he has a major involvement in the running of the club. The guys a shadow investor. He owns ENIC that owns us. Its not like he used his own personal wealth to personally go out and buy us for his own amusement. From what I've always understood, Its all Levy. It was his idea to buy a controlling stake in us. He pitched it to Lewis. Lewis is nearly 80 and lives in the bahamas, like he gives a fuck? As long as his investment is being looked after, he has no reason to get involved. And he's got his best man on the case, Levy. Who whilst I'm not his biggest fan, i do accept he has a very difficult job. On the one hand he has to run a successful football club, that stays competitive. But on the other, he has to make sure his own, as well as others investment doesn't lose value. and spunking your own personal fortune to buy aguero and hazard, isn't the way to go about staying in the black.

Levy is our Abramovich. And he is a fan. He did wear the shirts as a child most likely. Thats why he grew up and got his rich mate to help him buy us. Thats why he's sat up in the west stand at every game. He's big dog, Joe lewis is basically a silent partner.

The Qatari government is lining up a £1bn takeover of Tottenham.(The Sun - subscription required)

I know it is the Sun so there is little to nothing that I'd believe but, what are peoples views on a takeover if it did materialise?

I don't want anything to do with their regime in the slightest to be honest. Their attitude to women, miniorities, human rights and the climate is appalling. I would seriously consider supporting another club if they bought us out.

They will fill the stadium, they are a London club with a large local fanbase, but the atmosphere in such a large stadium (by circumference) will be shit.

Even teams like Roma and Lazio struggle to fill their Olympic stadiums with noise, and they're a bunch of mentalists.

Man the 1 guy I'd like to show an interest would be Branson.

Met him, twice, cool guy and a Brit

Plus having those stewardesses as the stewards would drop any crowd trouble in a heartbeat lol

And seeing the tottenham cock on his plane soar in the stratosphere.... no cock will have soared higher haha
I don't want the new stadium built on the moon thank you very much.
