Gonna put this here. More on the alleged "mutiny" started by Kane. Pinch of salt and so on..

The following info came to Galahad on Friday evening (with a couple of extra snippets on Saturday morning), and is from a different source to the person quoted in post #1 of this thread. He initially sent it to me just for my information and didn't want it posted, however the appearance of this thread meant that he is okay with the following being shared. Take it or leave it.
Kaboul believed that the Ade 'faction' had the ascendency, if not in numbers then in influence, due to their seniority. He felt that the refusal to tow the seniority line by the younger players (led by Kane, Dier and Mason) came as a challenge to the established order in general, and to the authority of his captaincy in particular. That's why he made the decision (very much egged on by Ade) to go to Poch and complain, with the aim of presenting the 'Kane Mutiny' (sorry, couldn't resist. :smiley9: ) as being the root cause of the team's problems. Unexpectedly, for the Ade group, Poch supported the mutiny.
Lennon was caught up in supporting players (Ade and Kaboul) with whom he has built friendships over several years. Poch spoke to him on Friday, laying out what he expects from Lennon as a player and as a teammate, and (to his credit) Lennon seems to have responded very well. Poch does not see Lennon as a major issue, more as someone who did what they thought was the right thing (being loyal to a friend) but quickly realized it wasn't. As far as Poch is concerned, Lennon is not a man-management issue.

-prof on jan and eriksen: They both sided with the mutineers. Solidly. Would have been easier to keep their heads down and not take sides, like Lamela, Paulinho and Dembele.
-on rose siding with ade/kabs: I have heard that from one source, but it hasn't been corroborated.

Naughton isn't Prem quality in my view but I do think it is very unfair to play the lad at LB of all positions.
Agree. Naughton was absolutely dire today. But I don't necessarily blame him as it's bloody tough playing LB when you're right-footed. I blame the management and their sheer fucking incompetence at not buying a left-footed LB while allowing BAE to go out on loan. Would rather see a young kid like Fryers out there trying and making mistakes than square pegs in round holes.
Wrong. I can blame most players today, but not Soldado.

I agree to a great extent. But he seems to have lost the dressing room. Whether that's his fault or the players' fault doesn't really matter. The fact remains.
It's one thing being "back in the mix". But after half a dozen times of being back in the mix and missing out by a point or cunty Chelsea result Levy wants his next CL run. Lets face it, getting results against the lower teams isn't all it takes and we've so far failed to beat one top four contender this season.
The worst thing is, Liverpool were not even that good. They just kept rushing the ball to Suarez and then backing it with runs from Henderson, Sterling and Coutinho, interchanging. That is all it takes to unbalance our defence.

That's not really true, if you take Kaboul as an example - there is no way he would ever get back to full fitness without us being able to give him 45 minutes here and there in Europa League games.
You just can't afford to bring players like him in for Premier League games cold, as witnessed at Man City.
There seems to be an unbelievably thin line between players being tired and lacking match fitness........they both can be applied at any point in time to the same player to suit an argument.....
Nice to see a rational and sensible opinion on daws,dont get me wrong i love him for his passion and commitment but hes just not good enough and is too slow.We have injuries and need him but all im seeing on here is naughton getting slaughtered and rightly so but daws seems to get a pass from most fans
Maybe so but if you look at our results after a Thursday game they are not good reading.
We lost to spam after a Thursday night game, we lost to Woolwich after a Thursday night game, we lost to Newcastle after a Thursday night game, we lost to Liverpool after a Thursday game.
So our players do have a problem with playing twice in a week.

The expectation does add a bit of negativity IMO. When we were shit it's almost as if we had an excuse when we fucked up, but we have a genuinely good side now. So when we take a hiding it's that much more embarrassing.
