Why do peo[le think Austin is the answer when we didn't play to Soldado's strengths ? Did anyone watch Austin and QPR last season.
What did they play like?
How many goals did Austin score from shots from more than 10 yrds? 2/3? How were most of his goals created?
It seems pointless to buy him because he's an old fashioned CF who cannot play up front on his own. He needs plenty of crosses to enable him to score.
He's not that good a passer and his workmate is questionable. If we bought him for back up, when he played we would have to change our system.
That's probably why we haven't gone for him.
Does anyone else remember QPR purposely not watering their pitch to stop team passing it around and enable them to play the direct long ball, cross into box football?
Austin would probably struggle to score goals in our system.
God, everyone was moaning about how we bough players that didn't fit and wasted money and most want us to panic buy now.
Please tell me what striker was out there, bar Charlie Fucking Austin, that would have fitted in well, and we could have realistically got?
List some names of the strikers, bar Charlie Austin, that we could have bought but didn't.

Or we did play to Soldado's strengths, he just missed the chances that were created. It didn't work out with him but that doesn't necessarily mean it was the wrong type of player.

Soldado should have scored more goals here, there's no arguing that. He missed a bunch of sitters.

That said, hes far better off in another league.

I'm so fucking angry.

Back to work tomorrow after two weeks off!!

Fuck you Levy you fucking bald penny pinching sack of football club improving over 15 years cunt!

The improvement has nothing to do with you! It happened by magic.

People are talking like we had great fantastic strikers as backup last season, a season in which we performed relatively well, given the youth of the squad. We had a professional footballer who couldn't hit a crowd with a ball and one who didn't play.
I think Clinton well enough in cup games and europa league to give Kane a break and I think that's why we bought him. Of course having a Berahino would make the squad stronger. Is he worth 25 mil? No. Of course Austin would make the squad stronger. Is he worth 50k a week on a 5 year contract like he wants? Probably not.

Every team has more than 1 striker at their club but us. I don't think there's a club in any league that has only 1 striker bar Tottenham Hotspur.
We don't even have a promising striker in the youth ffs. This is beyond crazy.
If Levy lets today pass with no solution I don't think I can find any way of supporting him to any extent anymore. He can't keep hiding behind the stadium and good financials. Too many mistakes have been made year after year where on field issues are concerned. Sacking Poch in a few months when it all goes to shit won't achieve a damn thing, and it's becoming clear that every manager from Jol onward has been shafted in one way or another by our dear leader.

This is so disappointing, I knew I shouldnt have gotten my hopes up on Berahino but I was sure there was some striker relief coming in. Even if it wasnt a sexy one I was sure there would be somebody.
