#SPURSINSYDNEY –
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

It’s finally here – #SpursInSydney Week is upon us! We’re just days away from THFC touching down in Sydney and we are all incredibly excited for the events taking place. The Australia Spurs Committee has worked hard, and we’re very pleased to see such a positive up take in our events and merchandise.

There have been many questions around specific details for the week, and this email, though lengthy, should answer all of those questions. We encourage you to read the whole email before contacting us with any questions. If you have any difficulty reading this email, all information can be found on the OzSpurs website.

The course is at 5 Military Road, North Bondi. Please be at the course, ready to tee off by 1:30pm.

WELCOME NIGHT - OPERA BAR
THURSDAY 28 MAY - 5PM - ???

We'll be heading to Opera Bar from 5pm, the perfect spot to welcome Spurs fans from around the world and around Australia. Have a beer underneath the Opera House, looking over the Harbour at the Harbour Bridge at Sunset, just as the incredible VIVID light show starts to take hold on the Sydney night.

The THFC squad will be climbing the Bridge from 5pm, so they will know we're not far away! Opera Bar is located adjacent to the Opera House. Here is a map.

The plan for the night beyond Opera Bar is not set - we will see where the night takes us.

OSSIE ON SUNRISE

5-A-SIDE
FRIDAY 29 MAY - 1 - 3PM

Thank you to all who've registered their interest in 5-a-side. You will receive an email asking for confirmation of your attendance, along with some more event specific details.

We will be kicking off at ANZ Stadium at 1pm sharp, so we ask you to be there by 12:30pm to allow us to communicate the running order. The competition will be held on the Stadium’s external warm up facility located on Edwin Flack Avenue and adjacent to the Stadium’s western side (Gates J to N).

The recommended train to catch from Central is at 11:40am, changing Lidcombe Station to the Olympic Park Sprint Platform to continue onto ANZ Stadium, arriving at 12:20pm. If you're driving, P1 Car Park will be open and parking available at a rate of $5.00 per hour.

At registration, we asked for your local chapter, and we'll be using that information to sort players into teams for the day. This way, we can plan the format and fixtures and ensure a smooth day with time spent playing football, rather than organising the competition. This information will be available on the day.

The surface is astroturf and boots are prohibited; we recommend wearing running shoes or Futsal boots. There will be no drinks or food provided, so please bring your own water. There are shops in the Olympic Park vicinity, like Subway and McDonald's.

Toilets will be available at the adjoining P1 Parking Station. Please note there will be no change room or shower facilities available.

We understand many people will be bringing younger Spurs fans along, and they are welcome to play, however, please be aware that this event is designed for adults.

OPEN TRAINING
FRIDAY 29 MAY - 4 - 6PM

We are expecting Open Training to be hugely popular and are looking forward to a fantastic afternoon at ANZ Stadium. Entry to the Stadium will be via Gate K, located on its Western Side, off Edwin Flack Avenue and adjacent to the P1 Car Park. Gates will open at 3:30pm and training will start at 4pm, running for approximately 1 hour.

From 5-5:30pm, the lucky winners of the OzSpurs Golden Ticket competition will be escorted to an area for autographs. If you are yet to enter this competition, it's not too late! Click here for the details. Entries close and the draw will be done at 11am Wednesday 27 May and we will be contacting the winners immediately after the draw.

The training session is FREE and open to all!

If you're driving, P1 Car Park will be open and parking available at a rate of $5.00 per hour.

THE MATCH: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS SYDNEY FC

The Australia Spurs Committee has organised new flags, and we'll be decorating ANZ Stadium before the match. We encourage you to bring your flags and scarves, but please respect ANZ Stadium's regulations and comply with their requests. We want to turn ANZ Stadium lilywhite, so be sure to wear a white Spurs kit!

We thank you in advance for your support in assisting the Stadium in meeting their obligations under their Liquor Licence. OzSpurs will not be able to assist anyone, so whilst we want you to enjoy your day, take it easy and ensure you're there for the match.

The match kicks off at 8pm.

POST-MATCH AT THE TRIPLE ACE
SATURDAY 30 MAY - FROM 11PM

Following the match, we will be returning to the Triple Ace for one last night of celebration. The FA Cup will be on the TVs (c'mon Villa!) and we'll be there to celebrate an incredible weekend.

Massive day for the Spurs arrival in Sydney.
Arrived around 11.30am following an overnight flight from Malaysia.
Qantas flew an empty Jumbo to KL and brought Spurs only to Oz on a solo charter flight.
The boys came through customs to 200-300 spurs fans with Harry Kane getting mugged and last onto the bus.
Chadli, Lamela, Mason, Kane all interested in signing autographs and being mugged. Poch, Eriksen, Hugo all wanting to get through as quick as possible.
Then it was off to the city harbour digs with media conference and photo session for a few of them.
A lovely sunny day in sydney for the guys and Harry is doing Bridge climb.
Night time now with some players being featured on the Harbour Bridge for an annual light festival - Vivid.
