May I ask why? He seemed a lovely chap but his football was the footballing equivalent of waterboaring
he was simply amazing at Porto. Best football we ever had,, better than when we won the champions league with Mourinho. And was a die-hard Porto fan since he can remember. It was a great love story until he signed for the Chavs. I hated me a few months, and then was so happy when Tottenham signed him. Too good to be true it was...

Maybe if he didn't put us all to sleep with his boring football Levy would actually have given him time. AVB needs to look at himself first here. You lose 5-0 to Liverpool and already lost 6-0 to City a couple of weeks earlier. On top of that the football you let us play was crap. Getting rid was the only right thing to do.

Spent more money than Kim Kardashian on a shopping spree, yet failed to sign one decent defender.

Why isn't Roman Abromovich an expert in sacking managers too?
At least he got half his 3 year stint at Spurs before being 'sacked' and not 8 months of it like at Chavscum

Couldn't really lump Willian in as a player Levy never tried to get. Willian and his agent broke promises there.
Luckily we never got Damiao either.
Also ignores that VdV asked to leave after meeting and speaking with AVB. That wasn't Levy's fault.
And Paulinho was AVB's big summer target. He pushed hard to sign him.

Yeah, I forgot to mention his awful transfer dealings. Granted, we don't know to what extend Baldini or Levy were also to blame.

In fact, of all the players he signed only a few are still at the club/were good enough. And of those Lloris had to wait months before he became first-choice. No disrespect to Friedel, but Lloris should have become our number one instantly. Vertonghen was pretty much a done deal before AVB even joined the club, Eriksen came in very late when he was available the entire transfer window and Lamela took a long while before he adapted. Only about the Dembele deal you can't say anything negative.

Paulinho, Soldado, Chiriches... ffs.

AVB wimped out of Zenit rather than seeing through a long term project. How he can now whine about not getting the chance to do that at Spurs is beyondme.
