Just saw this at their forum:
"Tiny Totts will turn up for their cup final we can't bothered because they mean nothing to us..

1-3 to them, still doesn't stop their mob being a bunch of flaccid knob jockeys pretending to be contenders.. "

Are they aware that they support West Ham, the team that is notorious for stepping it up only against us, The Scum and Chelsea? Some deluded bunch they are...
And they turned up in the world cup in 66

It's been crisis mode for months mate, this game isn't going to change a thing.

Every week we see people saying "if we lose the next game then that's it" and the next week they say the same.

It's done, he should be sacked before we even step foot on the pitch against this shower of wank.

Certain fans may have been in "crisis mode" for "months", but considering 3 months takes us back to pre-season the club obviously hasn't....

Half our fanbase seem to stumble from one perceived crisis to the next.... Even when we were at the peak of our powers under Poch the prophecies of doom were coming thick and fast.

Definition of a melt? Someone that instinctually panics in the face of adversity.

So did I mate but I am just saying, some people in our fanbase wanted him to stay despite the obvious fact he was not doing our club any good.

The same thing is happening with Poch currently.

Totally opposite circumstance if you think about it....

TS: Decent points tally, yet no track record to engender further faith.
MP: Decent track record, yet depleting points return.

Which is interesting because I don’t recall this ever happening before Poch rocked up

Now it’s twice since 2015

C'mon man... We all know that between them AVB and Sherwood created a dreadful environment that Poch was subsequebtly tasked with sorting.

Some of us had a feeling we were in crisis mode before the season started because we were looking at our league form from feb and concerned it would continue, which has proven to be true.

The champions league was never an indicator of how good we were, that's what I said before as well, fantastic achievement getting to the final but league form is a much more reliable indicator of how a team is doing and that was shit long before this season started.

As for the bolded, I certainly wasn't complaining when we were doing well under Poch, I mean, obviously with it being a football forum people will always question tactics and have grumbles about team selections even when we are doing well, it can't be avoided but speaking for myself here, I always had faith, even during bad spells, that we would recover.

This is different, this isn't just bad form anymore, this is a crisis, one which we aren't going to recover from under this manager, I don't know what it's going to take at this point to convince some people that this is more than just a blip in his tenure, I don't have to repeat the stats to make it obvious as to why there are huge warning signs that this is beyond recovery at this point.

This sentence points to an extremely bizarre definition of what a "crisis mode" would actually constitute....

Suspicions of a problem is not being in "crisis mode".... Especially if you're transposing it upon the club itself.

You're reinforcing my point; that people(*) throw about such terms for gravitas without thinking about what linguistically it means.

(*Note: As with previous post "people" not "person".)

I mean, are we talking about being pedantic over the word crisis here? The dictionary definition of the word is as follows:

"A crisis is a situation in which something or someone is affected by one or more very serious problems."

I would say that our form since Feb indicated serious problems but they were ignored due to the champions league run.

When we talk about the club as a whole, right now, I would say that things are in crisis mode, wouldn't you? If our form continues the way it has been for the last 6 months then we are going to be in a relegation fight, make no mistake about it, our points tally indicates that to be the case, I would consider that to be a crisis.

(I'm well aware of the definition of the word crisis thanks, but if you apply a little more haste you will realise that's not what I'm debating.....)

You initially said the club had been in crisis mode for months.

Bit of a nonsense when you consider that IF, from a board point of view, we'd reached that "mode" then it would in fact be signalled by the sacking of Poch... As far as I'm aware that hasn't happened yet.

(As I've already noted, I'm well aware that certain fans think we are in a state of crisis, but that wasn't your original claim was it?)

Seems to me that under Poch the bad apple list is now:
Ade
Lennon
Vlad
Kaboul
Capoue
Townsend
Eriksen
Rose
Toby
Townsend
Janssen
KWP
Jan

Bit much in my view.....maybe its someone else at the centre of it all

Are you not glossing over the cases we know to be a bit more cut n dried?

Eg .

Townsend... On pitch strop.

Rose - Spoke out about money, googling nobodies and shitty treatment from the fans.

Eriksen - If that's on Poch why are you rinsing CE on a regular basis in the CE thread? You've also accused Poch of bending over backwards to get him to stay.

Adebayor - Say no more.

Vlad - Drunk twat. Brain-fart specialist.

....You get the picture.

I'm open to Poch being a factor in some more recent circumstances, but if you recall that wasn't my original contradiction was it?

Jan spoke of wanting out following the AVB/TS era.... Pretty sure Lloris said he was on the brink too.

Some people get one strike and some get 1000 though

Have the debate at hand mate.... Not interested in a new one.

You as good as claimed no-one except Poch has been a cunt; now you're merely arguing that the punishment of cunts is inconsistent....

All this talk of people wanting to fuck Brady, I’d rather fuck a hedgehog
One dark night I went out into the back garden and gave my son's deflated football a good old toe-poke. Sadly, it turned out to be a hedgehog.
