The idea is that yes, football is a business.
But Abramovich had to swallow up £700m+ worth of debt so you could make a £1m profit.
The general message is that you cannot argue that the rise of Chelsea to who they are now is not due to that money. We are not the same scenario, as our club has been built by businessmen who have increased the club's value without writing off near a billion in debt.
