In many ways the comparison should be Son and Salah, not Son & Mane.

This season at least, Son has effectively played the most forward attacker in our team just like Salah does for the dippers. Both are responsible for scoring more than anything else, their success is all about scoring than their overall contribution.

Don't agree with this. Both Son and Salah were 2 of only 3 players last season (other being KDB) to get 10+ goals and assists last season in the PL. So I would say there is more to their game than just goals. But you could rework it to say that they are about contributing to goals be it goals themselves, assists or general forward play.
