Just watching it again. When the alleged incident happened, Kane was the closest person to Rudiger and was at least ten yards further away from the stand. That could put to bed the idea that someone else must have heard what happened. Easy to understand if it did happen that Rudiger was the only person to hear it.

Fat Frank and their captain interviewed on MOTD2 and neither mentioned him seeing anything, just hearing noises. Starting to look like the visual thing isnt actually a thing.

I just hope the club does the right thing. If they have strong evidence then ban for life but if they have no evidence I hope they don’t feel as if they have to act for the sake of it and ban some innocent people.

Think about it this way - if you think you've heard monkey noises then the best way to articulate that fast to your captain and/or the referee is to point to your ear and do the monkey arms thing. That's exactly what he did.
