Another sublime performance this afternnon. The way he single handedly prevented the Bournmouth equaliser was a pivotal moment in the game. Great assist for the breakaway third goal too. Just love the way he winds up all the fans of our rivals.
Surely can't do any more to warrent his own thread now, can he?

To think after last couple of months I was thinking we should ship him out in the summer, then he comes up with a magnificent second half, well played Mike

Truth is there's been an agenda against Spurs for years. The ball miles over the line from Clattenburg, Howard Webb deliberately turning away when he saw known wildman Ballotelli about to kick a prone Scott Parker in the face (even Graham Poll said he shouldn't have turned away), the food poisoning on last important day (away to West Ham which the media laughed off as a "dodgy lasagne" - Spam missed a dodgy penalty also given by (guess who) Chris Foy), the two players sent off and two penalties in various matches with Foy and others, Son sent off last season for the other player kicking his hand and diving v Bournemouth then Foyth followed, Spurs players booked easily every match while Granit Xaka did 15 fouls and only got 1 booking, Gareth Bale booked 6 times for diving when all were fouls.

Compare this to Eden Hazard who dived non-stop but was NEVER ONCE accused of diving. Arsene Wenger allowed to bully and moan about every single incident in a match never being pointed out about his bad attitude, unsporting behaviour not shaking hands, etc, Jurgen Klopp doing similar last season.

Spurs have the core of the English national team but you would think they were 'foreigners' because of the treatment by the FA and EPL, yet Woolwich have no English and are supported by Sky and the FA and EPL and media.

Graham Roberts said what every proper Tottenham fan should say - to stand up for your club and call a cheat a cheat when it so happens.

While being the voice of all things calm and reasonable have you ever considered that Mike Dean could just be an actual cunt and said something out of order
Personally i think he is and did.
Lets look at the facts as we know them. Have you ever seen Poch so animated and annoyed? Then you have Jesus fuming as well. What ever Dean said, it was a bit more than "hard luck" IMHO

As the old saying goes "a good referee is one that goes unnoticed ".
Whenever Dean officiates, the whole world and his dog notices!
I'd say the whole world wants to take notice. Every one of his mannerisms is a meme. His next game the media will talk about he's on 99 red cards, the next one will make it 100, they've been saying this every game since his 99th red, it will get said again, again, again, again, again until he hands out his 100th, then that WILL BE MASSIVE and everyone will say what a cunt he is for handing out 100 red cards. Then his 101st will 'break new levels" of shitness.

Look, I'm human this means you react/judge based not just on what someone does but how they do it but everything that surrounds him is utter ridiculous. Look at the origins of the thread, the first post, now look. Fans being pricks basically. In fact, since this first post, how's things turned out subsequently?

Poch's rant at the end of the game was him deliberately making a calculated scene:
a) He's probably taking the heat off the team's performance, doing a Mourinho making it about him and not how shit we were. Well done Poch, great management!!
b) Poch didn't like what he saw from the players on Sat, he said Burnley were more aggressive than us, that's got to hurt, this is Poch showing aggression the only way a manager can, he showing the team what he didn't see from them. Great management Poch!
c) As a team, we've improved our snide massively, become a hard team to beat, prepared to mix it, not back down, play the dark arts to gain advantage BUT Poch has criticised "us" which includes him on off the field antics (he said this and suggested that we should be more like Juve after the Juve game), this is him living those words. This is what Mourinho and Fergie (and Wenger) did for years. Moan, scream, be an utter pain in the arse for the officials, don't give them a moment to relax or breath, pick up on every single error they make. This is what he is now doing, he did it earlier in the season with Oliver too. This is what it looks like. Great management Poch!

Direct lift from the BBC website:

What Pochettino said - Mike Dean's report in full
"At the conclusion of the game I was approached on the field of play by the Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino and some members of his coaching staff, including first-team coach Jesus Perez.

"Mr Pochettino acted in a very irresponsible and aggressive manner. He wouldn't stop saying 'you know what you are, you know what you are"'. I asked him to explain and he repeated 'you know what you are'.

"I then said on numerous occasions to go away at least 10 times and he wouldn't get out of my personal space and then aggressively pointed his finger just a few inches from my face, again saying 'you know what you are'.

"Mr Pochettino then left me alone and left the field of play. When I reached the tunnel he was waiting at the top of the stairs again saying 'you know what you are' and had to be escorted to the dressing room by security staff from Burnley."

No conspiracies - choose not to believe Dean if you like. It sounds totally plausible and from the video you can see him saying "go away", multiple times. The manager crossed a line. Should know better being a former player. The only excuse was "heat of the moment" having just lost - but even that does not justify it.

I'd argue that if he was on the touchline on Saturday, the result MAY have been different. In the stands for Liverpool as well.

No mention of why Poch and his team walked away, then stormed back towards Dean asking him to repeat what he said into a camera?

Fucking stinking cover up.

I think Pochettino needs to step up Dean’s training regime. Looked a bit out of shape.

In truth he was a bit sloppy today, but Dean’s always got something in his locker.

I've slagged him off in the past and he is still a self absorbed prick, but he was ok today. VAR was trying to make up for past glories.

Walking around with the yellow card out like a peacock was cringe. He loved it. Surprised he didn't go over to the sideline monitor to watch himself. :D

None of who (or is it whom) have English as first language.

Could any of us accurately spot nuances of tone, commiseration, mis-pronunciation, irony, congratulations, double-negatives etc etc in Spanish? Add to this a charged atmosphere, emotions, loss of the game, cameras in your face, Burnley players earwigging.

The manager should have bitten his tongue (as he's done many times before) and walked away. I don't want him to be judged alongside, Klopp, Ferguson and all the other 'hot-head' managers who inevitable get a meaningless fine and then carry on as before. He's better than that.
I think, but ultimately guessing, that as a manager you need to be up in the faces of the refs. I'm basing this purely on how some of the games best ever managers have acted/behaved prior to Poch. Whilst as a fan I like our manager to show respect and show a bit of class, I'd take winning the League/CL with our manager being fined for bad behaviour.
