Shrek says (i.e. grunts) "Fear thee hobbit"

There's a spin-off movie in there somewhere.....

Whereas Rooney was too busy shaggin' grannies, holding his club to ransom for insane wages, boozing, smoking, cheating on his wife and kids and so on...

Model pro. :adesalute:
Maybe, but at least on the pitch he worked his ass of and showed some genuine quality.

Did you read Mauricio's recent comments about needing more backing and tools to work with, babe

Yeah right. He was saying the same stuff at the end of last season.

The peasants on the forum think he might actually be asking for more backing and different tools to work with, though

Really. I'll get on to Guido

And the winner of the internet 2019 goes to John Thomas.

TBH, they put a lot of stock in him, yet cos he couldn't look after himself (un-proffesional) he was finished for them earlier than befitting a player of his age and ability.

Also, I suspect (albeit un-evidenced) that it was a club directive to keep Rooney and hike his money which was the beginning of the end of SAF's tenure, rather than SAF's decision himself... Fergie of old wouldn't have pandered to WR publicly holding them to ransom.

Deschamps really does have the mouth of an ageing homeless tramp, doesnt he?

Hahaha Dechamps is not really a photogenic type but he is a former Juventus player of Lippi and was Juventus coach in Serie B in 2006-2007. We recall that he came from the Monaco: a CL final lost against the Port of Mourinho 1 year earlier.

Looks like Poch's future is something the media are focusing on ahead of the big kick off on June 1st. Don't know whether its a good or bad thing. Strangely it might take the pressure off the players and all the limelight is on him.

I know this feels like a post from the Media Bias thread... but the media REALLY have decided Poch is leaving whether we win the thing or not...
And in fact, have perfectly set up either scenario for WHY he'd leave:

We lose; Poch wants to win trophies, so will leave.
We Win: Poch has achieved the impossible, taken us as far as he can... so will leave!

The same can't be said for how they're depicting Klopp...
If they lose, he'll stay to win something... and if they win, he'll stay to win more!

...it really does skew things when there's already a narrative in place!!

all the more reason for him to troll them in his press calls

One headline Pochettino is wanted by Juventus! Followed by names on Pochettino wanted list for next season at Tottenham!!! WHAT IS IT THEN?
