Is that because you've been locked away for the last six months and missed the 220m already spent on new players? or are you just having a laugh?

The 'full rebuild' is nearly done ... a top defensive midfielder, a back-up striker and a back up right back that's about all that's left to do. No rebuild is ever complete there should always be renewal but the bulk is done from five years ago.

lloris, Gazza, Whiteman/Austin

Aurier, Tanganga ... new back up right back so Tanganga can play CD
Foyth, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Tanganga, Cirkin (I really rate him)
Davies, Sessegnon

NEW STARTING DCM, Winks, Skipp, Fernandes

Dele, Ndombele, LoCelso, Bergwijn, Sissoko
Moura, Lamela, Son
Kane, Parrott ... new back up striker

That's assuming Verongen and Vorm leave on a free this summer. Dier and Wanyama are sold without being offered new contracts (both expire 2021) and Skipp signs a new contract.

There will be five players who will have just two years left on their contracts and Mourinho may choose to re-sign or sell and upgrade on all or some of these - my view Llloris (stay) Aurier (new contract) Lamela (sell) Foyth (not sure) Gazzaniga (new contract)

Would like to see Son sign a new contract as well ... his value in marketing alone makes him worth keeping for another five years.
Fernandes is not a DM, I don't think he should be asked to play that role.

I struggled with where to put him ... we do have a shitload of quality midfield players ... as creative/attacking AM's we have Dele, Ndombele, LoCelso, Bergwijn, Sissoko and that's putting Son and Lucas as strikers ...

Maybe swap Sissoko and Fernandes ... personally I'm with Brian Clough on this one, if they're good enough they can play anywhere ... it's why not having a second striker doesn't bother me that much - you look at the goal scoring potential and it shouldn't be an issue.

Perhaps one of the most specialist positions (apart from keeper) is DCM when you look at a list of real top quality specialists it's pretty short ...

Agree with you Fernandes is not a DM but if we signed a really good DM then Fernandes, Winks or Skipp to play in the double pivot .... that said LoCelso was very good paying deeper yesterday so who knows ...

Having too many good players ... who knew that was ever going to be a problem?

Fernandes was bought into cover for MS, I don't see him being permanent unless he turns out to be really good.

JM definitely wants a striker, even though I think son is adequate. I think it's going to be a big problem finding a striker of quality to bring in. We've had problems getting in the right striker, at least since Redknapp's day and beyond that. Fuck knows where we would be if Kane hadn't had come along.

JM doesn't seem overly concerned about a DM, my guess is, if he only has limited funds he won't be getting one.

Guys!

We have not conceded more than 1 goal in 5 straight games.
And as a result - we have not lost any of them!

Also this table up there is a nice sight. Though the Lamela kick in extra time vs Watford still haunts me. If it would have been 3 mm further... we'd be even in better situation.

But still decent, and I believe that we have a chance to fight for top 4!!
Need to keep all the players injury-free ; play Ndombele and Lo Celso as much as they can without putting them in risk and hope for the best. I am optimistic!

as you say sess is not a LB, maybe he can learn to play there ? Fulham boys will say he is a LWB or LF.
we need a Left footed CB, not sure Jose will keep Foyth as he makes mistakes as he brings the ball out
I think sess is wasted as a LB, and for those who say he only scored goals in the championship, I have watched a fair
Few games just lately from championship teams and didn’t realise how much more physical the game was in the lower leagues, we need to be patient with sess , I think in a couple of seasons he will surpass son in how important he can be for this team

No chance. He'll never match Son's ability going forward, he'll never be a top class attacking player full stop, just hasn't got the skillset. It's left back or bust for Sessegnon, and you'd put your money on bust at the moment to be honest. He needs to up his game dramatically as he's been displaced by a right footed CB.

I think he will surprise a lot of people , he is wasted as a left back

He's already surprised me, at how little he's offered.
He is lacking in confidence, but then he is only young though and Jose has just played him as a LWB, my
Memory might be wrong but I’m sure when he scored In the CL game he was playing more of an attacking winger, any how it seems the majority of the fan base have wrote him off already, and then people wonder why Jose is refusing to play Parrott :mourshock:
