We just need to accept he will never be the Kane of 2015-17 ever again in his career. The enthusiasm is gone. He is still a fantastic striker, one of the best in Europe, but he isn't going to run himself into the ground anymore like he did when he burst on to the scene.
.
As long as he scores goals who cares.

Season Goals
2014-15 31
2015-16 28
2016-17 35
2017-18 41
2018-19 24 (injured for many games)
2019-20 3
It’s more than just goals, he can score 45 penalties and make it look like he’s had a fantastic season, his contribution is clearly off at the moment, doesn’t press, can’t hold up the ball and like today, he’s dominated in the air.
I hope he’ll be back to his best once the season gets running.

He set up the first goal by beating both their centre backs and flicking it to Son. "cant hold up the ball" is a laughably stupid statement.

He has scored 167 goals for Spurs. 144 were not penalties.
He had a good game today.

Personally I'd drop him.

He was walking a lot today, sauntering along. No hunger to close down, not making runs, not offering anything for the attacking midfielders. His pace has gone, his balance and strength has gone and his confidence has gone - the Kane of a few years ago would have tried to score at the end, instead he dives for the penalty. His touch was poor, he was losing every header forward and overall had no impact on the game.

He had an incredible chance to score, space in the 18 yard box and instead he chose to take an unnecessary touch and lost the ball.

"But he wins us freekicks, he takes the pressure off, he defends corners", come on guys, we're scraping the barrel when we use excuses like that to justify his performances. We're not talking about Andy Carrol here, a target man who holds up the ball, we're talking about Harry Kane, a golden boot winner who we expect to score 30 goals a season.

Something isn't right, mentally or physically.

Players need to play like they fear for their spot. Harry isn't.

And he will score more than 30 goals

And he will score more than 30 goals

Do you think he has the same energy, speed and power as he use to have?

Do you think he has the same work ethic as Son or Lamela, players who work their balls off?

He's scoring goals, but he hasn't been putting in good performances or helping the team.

Thought it was his best game this year and that is due to actual movement and quick transition of the ball. We found space for the first time this season and Kane was finally getting space to show his class. The flick to Lamela; goal. The penalty; cool as a cucumber. Found space on the left side of the box and stung a shot; save to
Leno. Hit the post at the tightest of angles. Making runs to pull defenders off Son.

People are blaming the wrong people at the club for our malaise. This is on Poch for his tactics and team setup. He has players at his disposal to play some really good football, but my lord we are very one dimensional at this point.

Scoring goals doesn’t help the team?

Perhaps after 5 years of playing every single game for club and country plus several severe ankle injuries, he’s lost a bit of that energy and willingness to hunt down every ball. That’s normal and to be honest perhaps that is what he needed to do after repeatedly fucking his ankle with silly attempts to press the ball.

As long as he scores 30+ goals I don’t care if he’s walking around a bit. Today he came alive when the ball was near him which is what matters. So unlucky not to win us the game with that cracking shot off the post.
