Don't get why some people are saying Kane has paper ankles.

Every injury has involved his ankle being bent at a ridiculous ankle x lots of force/impact x full bodyweight of him and/or opponent on it. Those things would injure ANY player.

The issue is more that he finds himself in those vulnerable situations where the risk/reward is not worth it.

Agree with Guido 🇺🇦 Guido 🇺🇦 though, in the context of the game it had to be done and maintained the right tone.

I would love him to play in the Nations League.
You know Kane, if he’s able to limp he will offer himself up for selection, but trying to rush himself back again is only going to destroy his career, if he can’t kick a ball for us again this season then he needs to just STOP!! and forget about those international games too, take a break and get fully recovered for pre-season and go into next season actually fit....I don’t think Kane has been truly fit for a year now, and it’s showing in his performances. Please just let your body heel and take a bloody rest man!!

Spot on.

He has to think long-term plus next summer there is an even bigger international tournament.

On this occasion, fuck England.

Following assessment over the past two days, we can confirm that Harry Kane has sustained a significant lateral ligament injury to his left ankle following a challenge in our Champions League quarter-final, first leg win against Manchester City.
Investigations are ongoing and he will continue to be assessed by our medical staff over the coming week.

Horrible season for him in terms of injuries, however:

Since 15/16 without Kane starting in all competitions:

Played: 48
Won: 32
Drawn: 8
Lost: 8
Goals scored: 94
Win percentage: 70%

Worth noting that 7 of those 8 losses came in cup competitions (Mostly Europa League in 15/16) and the other loss was away at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Believe. COYS

Knowing Kane and his previous returns from these sort of injuries, he'll be back before the end of the season. Remember when he was supposed to return to training in March and ended up being in training in February and starting?!
