Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It sounds like Spurs might be one of the few clubs who may benefit from the announcement due on Monday? Apparently Woolwich Villa, Man City, United, Chelsea and a host of others could be caught in this. The effect is

- possible point deductions this year for those who breached in 2022/2023 season

- clubs who have overspent this season having to sell club trained players to balance the books before 30 June into what will be a buyers market with only Liverpool and Spurs having FFP breathing space.

Maybe the THFC approach of building the stadium, go kart tracks, cinemas, etc. to create higher annual income for the club was not so short sighted after all?

Here’s a good vid on it. Its long but well worth the time.

I’d love to know how Man City were able to accumulate 115 breaches of FFP over several years without them being pulled up earlier.

Stinks of corruption.

Newcastle fans crying wolf about FFP is hilarious. What did they honestly expect after yo-yoing between the Premier League and The Championship, not playing in any European competition for a decade, and then spending £300m without any real sales bringing funds in?

This whole "FFP is there to keep the rich richer and top teams at the top" is bollocks. The likes of Spurs and Liverpool have gone about it correctly. Selling players for top value and spending what they can, within their means. Remove that and we'll end up with clubs in even worse positions trying to spend to keep up.

If the punishment is severe there's a good chance Chelsea and City don't exist afterwards
That would be the greatest day ever!

I’d just like to remind people of the Levy appreciation thread I created a while back, people mocked the Don but some of us knew he was playing the long game!

I remember Ali G saying in one of his videos last year that Levy’s been banking on this happening for a while.

Must admit at the time when he said it, I thought we’d be waiting a long time for it to come about

SLBNS is the account to follow when it to FFP. He is a football lawyer who all the media like the Times, BBC go to when discussing these issues. He often destroys people when they don't know what they are talking about including most of the pundits and journalists although agreeing with John Cross here.

Please read the Chelsea and City tweets, gives you an idea of what is happening.

Chelsea’s case: it’s more serious than City’s but is still under investigation at this point.

So just to make clear. Everton and Forest are simple breaches of the amount you can spend, both City and Chelsea are false accounting, non-disclosure & deliberate concealment which is a totally different level of charge. This is like comparing a parking fine with robbing a bank. However they are also vastly more complex hence the amount of time if takes to process the case with City and the charges with Chelsea.

Not sure if shared already but this guy seems to think City will clear their name of the charges because the burden of proof is too high for such serious allegations, involving so many people.

I really don’t like this bloke.

He’s a complete City shill masquerading as an objective, independent advisor. I’ve had my gut full of dealing with this type of weasel in my day job. He loves the attention and he loves emphasising the fact that the allegations are hard to prove.

Of course they’re hard to prove. We’ve let an entire country dope a PL team.

Do not let this quisling fool you. The PL can very easily establish that City have broken sustainability rules by pointing to a sensible comparison of fair market value, so as to undermine City’s absurdly inflated sponsorship deals.

The PL just has to have the courage and stomach for a fight.

But this douche can get in the fucking sea.

EDIT: and to add, it goes without saying that Jordan is a whopper, but watch Stefan start to squirm just past 8 minutes, when pressed on City’s refusal to cooperate and provide evidence. Then you get the the legalistic equivocation, the bristling of feathers. His voice gets that little more arch and he says ‘ah, ah, these are two separate issues’.

Fuck. Off.

He’s on the payroll.

It's not quite the same though. It's more like finding out your partner committed murders and grassing them up.

Boehly wasn't there committing the crimes and, possibly wouldn’t have purchased them if he knew what he'd find after the deal went through.
Chelsea were commiting the crimes and should be punished. If boehly didn't do due diligence he can get fucked or sue the previous owner.

In honour of our resident lyricist Ed Vanderlay, I have put this little ditty together for City's latest legal counsel...

Shaggy

Arbitrator came and caught me Red handed, trying to circumvent the law,
Picture this we were paid £10M for a name on our toilet door,
How could I forget that all our sponsorship is Qatari?
All this time they were watching us sportwashing all our blood money.

Charged for fraudulent accounting? Wasn't me,
Payments coming from your family?
Wasn't me,
Tried to stop investigation,
Wasn't me,
Your club is owned by a nation!

I’m really struggling to see how due diligence for a multi billion pound acquisition didn’t involve a check on the provenance of the club’s funds.

It’s nonsense. They knew exactly what they were buying.
