We definitely shouldn't give up on Romero because he's been bloody brilliant this season and is in general very talented and one of the best defenders in the league, but Ramos, whilst an excellent defender, got away with that side of things a bit more because he scored a ludicrous amount of clutch goals and in general was great going forward.
Defensively he got questioned a LOT for his recklessness. But he scored match winning goals on a semi-regular basis, so...
Ramos had a good career because of his goals.

So Romero having 2 goals already this season means he’s on track to have a Ramos like season.

Good call comparing him to one of the most successful defenders of all time who was always in a talented squad at a bigger club than ours with loads of quality cover.
Ramos' ball-playing, leadership and clutching of massive games made him a great player. Romero has scored a couple of goals but he's got a LONG way to go if he ever wants to match that kind of contribution going forward.
Romero is great. Anyone who wants him sold is a weirdo, he's been fantastic this season.

and I think your right, but a comparison has been made with Romero and Ramos both play/played on the edge.
Romero is still only 25, he’s only going to get better. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

Might have been said already but what I find weird is everyone loves Romero's aggression when things are going well, 1 bad challenge (which in my belief is not a red) and everyone rushes to sell him, upgrade, drop him etc. He's that type of defender, you have to take the rough with the smooth.
