Pot 1 consists of the champions of the top 6 leagues, plus the previous CL winner plus the EL winner, so is :

1 Real Madrid (CL winner)
2 Atletico Madrid (EL winner)
3 Barcelona (Spain)
4 Manchester City (England)
5 Bayern Munich (Germany)
6 Juventus (Italy)
7 Paris Saint Germain (France)
8 Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia)

Pot 2 is then the next ranked teams (ie highest co-efficients) who have qualified for CL (Woolwich, Chelsea, Seville and Zenit St Petersberg did not qualify)

1. Borussia Dortmund
2. FC Porto
3. Manchester United
4 FC Shakhtar Donestk
5. SL Benfica (assuming they get through qualifying rounds)
6. SSC Napoli
7. FC Basel (assuming they get through qualifying rounds)
8 Tottenham Hotspur.

looking at the rankings, if we have a good CL next season, say the quarters, it's likely we'd climb a few positions because some of the teams above will lose their score from 5 years ago (replace with whatever score they get this year) which in some cases are high scores, which are likely to be replaced by lower ones. We'd lose 15 points from the 13/14 season score drops off, so we'll likely do well if we beat that score next season. That would mean the next year we'd be more comfortable, probably, getting into pot 2, than this year where we've only just managed it.

I can't wait to see who we get but like you I don't want a piss easy draw, I want the big teams. We've shown we can beat the best. I hope Liverpool draw Real and get murdered again home and away.
Still congratulations for them reaching the final, but the road to it was (apart from City) more like EL:
Spartak - Sevilla - Maribor - Porto - City - Roma

Meanwhile we faced RM, Dortmund and Juventus...
They had a once in a lifetime opportunity, and they bottled it :llorishowudoin:

The City game is obviously the toughest fixture there but all bets are off when two teams from the same country get drawn in the CL. The other fixtures would not be out of place in the EL as you point out. In fact Woolwich had tougher draws in the actual EL arguably.

Mixed feelings about that....it's funny but the tickets they're talking about are those 1882 travesties...and who exactly are they trying to get to buy them?

Except of course that not true ... Spurs premium seats occupy all of the optimum viewing areas only on the West and East touchlines ... these are managed by 'corporate' and not the ticket office, there are no premium seats in the South or North stands ... all 1882 seats will be offered exclusively as season tickets, in the unlikely event these don't sell out (if they haven't already) they will go on general sale ...

OK, so they're aiming at glory hunting corporate cunts who just want to see whoever we are playing in the CL...and this is better ?

Yup that's where we make the extra 30m a year in revenue ... screw em' for as much as possible ... free cheese and a giant bill, luv it ... as far as 1882 goes just because a season ticket holder pays a couple of grand for their ticket doesn't make them any less a fan, just a richer fan ... that's not even close to the same thing as the whole corporate bollocks ...

In all seriousness the Dippers (bless em') have put further expansion plans on hold because they can't attract enough high value corporate clients to make it worthwhile ... they're now looking at 'overseas' packages where well heeled fans fly in for the day and leave Liverpool the same night (probably to London lol) ... very big money in that apparently ...

The huge advantage London clubs have is that we can charge 9k for executive season tickets, we can charge for two tickets – they are only available as a pair – for the Spurs Tunnel Club £19,000 per season, there were 104 packages on offer and a one-off membership fee of £30,000 all sold out. Or even more expensive is membership of the H Club, which costs £30,000 per season, plus a £30,000 membership fee, inside the H Club – for which there were 176 packages available – there will be a Michelin star dining experience, with cheese waiter and sommelier on hand to select for you the perfect wine to accompany a disappointing draw against Stoke ... that's insane but apparently nearly all sold ...

This utter madness won't fly in Dipper land where they have a Premium lounge season ticket at 4,600 and where even the executive players lounge is only 11k ...

Agreed but we are reliant on the fact that a couple of higher ranked teams do not qualify for CL - so for example in Spain we have benefitted from Valencia (lower ranked than Spurs) qualifying at the expense of Seville (higher ranked than Spurs), and same with Zenit not qualifying.

So doing well in the next few CL's to go up the co-efficient table is necessary as otherwise we will remain as either a 'highest ranked Pot 3' but with a bit of luck 'Pot 2' club - and Pot 2 can give us a bit of an easier draw (only one other strong team in the group so we should get out of group without any problem).

However if we are in Pot 3 so be it - this year we were and got out of a tough group, but we could easily have had the same luck as Liverpool with a very easy group to get out of despite them being in Pot 3.

I hope for you the Lokomotiv Moscow (pot 1)

Probably the easiest of the pot 1 clubs on paper, but we got Real Madrid this season from Pot 1 and Dortmund in Pot 2, so its not essential - and the draw back with Moscow is the extra journey time and possibly hostile home fans in away leg.

Im all ready excited for next year. Where would be everyones choice for a Euro away day? I think Paris could be jokes. Get the Euro Star there and back. All night session. Or Porto, I have heard its amazing. Would also like us to play atheletico as the atmosphere looks great there. :)

Pot 2 is fine to me. Love to get Barcelona then maybe 2 easier teams within pot 3 and 4. See how we cope with Messi at WHL.
