In their first seasons they continued to play the same way, that's the point.
Comparing Ange's first season to Pep and Klopp in their 8th or whatever is a false equivalence, when you have better players and a team that you can trust you can start to adapt.
I'd find this argument a lot more convincing if it wasn't for the fact we've had one game a week with loads of time for Ange to train the team, and the other fact that the more time he's had to train the team the worse we've played.
And we're not just poor from set pieces or struggling in transitions, we're poor going forward. I don't remember this happening in Klopp or Pep's first seasons. As this season has gone on we've got significantly more stales and nobody has progressed as a footballer.
Back Ange in the summer, give him more time (we need to do this as a club) but eeek the way this season has gone does not have me totally convinced of the idea we will see Pep or Klopp style progression with this team.
