Worryingly sounds a lot like a message coming out of the club...

If they really think this summer can be another "incremental" one, they may end up losing the interest of more of the fanbase than they are bargaining on.

Those "statement" signings in other areas don't fill me with much hope at all. Sounds like they are planning a bang average CM for 35-40m and a CF that won't be as good as Kane but slightly better than Richy.

They need to bring elite-level players, the same ol same ol won't cut it. Neither will Son as our starting LW. And neither will Solomon as anything.

Haven't gone through all new pages, so sorry if already discussed, but do we know if Antonio Nusa is totally off the radar for Spurs or not?

I saw reported in Norwegian media that he had recovered from his back injury. He and Brugge excoach Deila also claimed that his injury and back problem was exaggerated, and should not hinder him in the future. Tests done by specialists engaged from Norway national team concluded with the same, and said the results were "very positive".

According to a Romano post 4 w ago, Brentford is off, but several other PL teams are after him

No answer on this, probably cause it drowned in another discussion, so make another shot. Antonio Nusa, still on for us you think?

Playing quarterfinal for Club Brugge right now, and doing excellent

Even if Martial was still good and worked semi hard he'd be a bad signing because he cannot stay fit. Pretty sure as wonderous and magical Ange is, he can't magic away almost constant injuries from a footballer.
I mean we are wasting our time even discussing it. There is no chance in hell Ange is interested in Martial.

But yes, he would be a guaranteed unmitigated disasterfuck.

So, here is the only scenario where I can see a football logic for Werner...

We think Nusa is ready to play for us next season but a year away from being Son's full-time heir apparent.

So, we extend Werner's loan for another year AND sign Nusa. If we did that and made a statement signing for the CF but it was legit star striker, I could 100% get behind that.

That Ali Gold Tweet has actually pissed me off

I dunno if I've been infected by some brain altering fungus but I've been recently thinking that Solanke could be a decent signing.

Son shoved out to left winger to bring a striker in just seems stupid when signing a left winger and just playing Son up top is the other alternative.

At least you get a 1 v 1 specialist and a deadly finisher. Instead of a pretty poor winger in this system and a striker.
