I guess we fundamentally disagree then. Even if we signed nobody, a full season with Conte, Bentancur and Kulusevski would alone be an improvement on last season. But Perisic in at left wing back is a top class signing and I think Bissouma is an upgrade on Hojbjerg. Spence and Lenglet are potential upgrades, we will wait and see. Richarlison is a big upgrade on Bergwijn and gives us a proper rotation option for the forward positions.

I don't think it's been a perfect transfer window, but I think there is far too much stock put into pre season friendlies, we saw that with Ramos (an example I always repeat). Likewise people who are impressed with Woolwich, let's see how they do in the real games. I'm sure Jesus has out performed Son and Kane in pre season, I don't think any of us are in a hurry to swap them though.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised once the real games begin.
We will see mate

No mate I don't struggle with facts

Clearly you are.

when I see them but most of our signings are just like for like,

They're not.

Peresic - Clear upgrade on Sess/Reg.
Bissouma - Without a doubt better than all our other CMs >>> Prem proven.
Forster - Better than Gioillini
Richarlison - We didn't have a back up ST; now we do.

Spence - TBC
Lenglet - TBC but has qualities that most of our other CBs don't,

nothing really to get me off my seat but clearly you think differently

You should stick with what I posted rather than make projections about what you think I think....

FWIW you're wrong.... I think we can (and will) do more. Doesn't change the fact that you're chatting shit on the basis of what we have done so far.

I think people are reading an awful lot into a friendly in blistering heat with nothing at stake and no atmosphere.
For me the team and squad have moved forward in the last 12 months, and we have definitely strengthened over the last month. I'm not sure I could say the same for most teams in the premier league this summer so far. I don't buy into the hype that we are nailed on to be challengers as the top of the league is ultra competitive, but compared with how I felt at the start of the last season I'm a lot more optimistic. We didn't challenge last year because of a poor record against the teams at the top, it was our inability to despatch middle or lower teams efficiently and consistently. Easier said than done! I'd like to see a more creative midfielder and dead ball specialist come to the club , but either way looking forward to a decent season.

Time for you to get a manicure mate after spending time scraping the bottom of a barrel but nice try👌

But those middle or bottom of the table teams will work out quickly to sit deep with a low block as we struggle to break them down so we need something else.

It's so funny when people trot out the "we struggle to break teams down that sit back".

So does every team in world football. It's why lesser teams adopt that tactic to try and frustrate better sides. See how many times Liverpool scraped wins last season as evidence.

Conte's system is proven to work. We just need to upgrade personnel to implement it better.

We have done this with Perisic and Bissouma. It's a shame RWB is still up in the air a bit.

I think we need another rotation option for the front 3, be that Depay, Zainolo, Maddison or whomever. We can't still be turning to Lucas when we need to chase a goal.

I think we will get that player in before the window closes.

Lloris
Romero - Dier - Lenglet
Spence -------------------- Perisic
Bissouma -- Bentancur
Kulusevski -- Kane -- Son
I am hopeful that the above quickly becomes our first XI. If it does then we will have improved significantly on last season.

Having Richarlison plus Maddison, for example, to come on would be amazing depth.

I do think we need to move on from Hojbjerg in the biggest games asap though. He is fine against lesser sides but his technical limitations are too exposed against quality pressing teams.

I’d probably take your arguement (sic) a little more seriously if you could actually spell the name of the country you’re arguing about.
Clearly not an international branding guy.
And I take you a little more seriously if you came up with some valid points to the discussion rather than pickin on someones failure to spell check... Cos atm your just looking like another smart arsed internet bully.

I think people need to not take the game vs roma into account for any analysis of our performance. It was vs Mourinho's Roma. They had 6 men in defense more often than not. The weather was ridiculous in that hellhole. If our players had upped the intensity, they could have harmed themselves. Should have taken a slightly easier game closer to home as the final friendly but it is what it is. Excited about the season!!
