Probably, along with the massive geezer stood directly in front of you. They'll be used in quasi-standing sections surely, so the seat fulfils the legal requirement and gives you a stool for your pie.In sitting mode - is the rail / bar not broadly head height??
It's actually really hard to find a picture of people sitting in them. The bar does look an odd height. In sitting mode - is the rail / bar not broadly head height??
Yes, but who'd buy a ticket in the safe standing area to sit down?In sitting mode - is the rail / bar not broadly head height??

Yes but no one sits down.Don't they have to be in seat mode for European games?
They do at Dortmund

I didn't know that.
The capacity reduces by a large amount, 18,000 I think.
The rail seats are smaller than the normal ones - I don't know the ratio, but rail seating increases capacity.I was always under the impression that the rail seating didn't affect capacity, and that no matter the configuration you have to have 1 "seat" per customer. I thought it was just an atmosphere / choice thing rather than a capacity thing.

So are these legal now or what?
A 1.8 ratio would be a game changer for us. If the lower half of the single tier stand used that ratio the capacity of the stand would be 24,500 (68,500 overall). The highest ratio I've seen is one seated to 1.8 safe standing, but the average is 1-1.4

Cheers, I thought that was the case - it would have been big news on here. No, it's in preparation for the day they are legal.
