I'm Vlad. I have the ball.

I'm taking it out of defense. I spot an obvious pass. Maybe it's too obvious.

I'll move up to midfield. Gosh its crowded here. Obvious pass is still on. I'm suspicious about it though.

I'll take it past the halfway line. There are two guys in front of me. I should probably make that obvious pass that is, surprisingly, still on.

I think I've gone as far as I can go. I'm being challenged now. Time to make that pass.

Shit. Intercepted.

Didn’t seen the match ,stream crash ,not in tv , so ,I don’t make comments about what I don’t see…look that are many that don’t liked what he played today,2 weeks ago was injured ,played well vs Limassol ,and very well vs Greece 5 days ago (international time),he played very few matches with Kaboul as partners ,in 1 year, many with Verts and Dawson last season ,Dawson left the team …we will see what’s happen next matches,it’s good that he took 90 minutes on feet.

Vlad is quality.

highlight of the day undoubtedly was were he beat 2 men just outside our box megging the second one lol :adewtf:

I mean what the actual fuck. That blokes got quite a pair on him lol

Try to explain why Vlad, being centre back, insisted in the match with Limassol (home) at the second goal, when he made that winning tackle in their box to Paulinho ,like a true striker…this is football ,sometimes you have a good ideea that could change the match ,sometimes not…depend more on instincts of every player ,training hard in football, yes! is a good thing, but what make the difference in football is that creative moment of a player (defender, midfielder, striker whatever) that “sparkle” during the match…that could help his team mates to win the match.

I really enjoy the fact he genuinely seeks to play the ball 'out' from the back and looks for simple passes instead of clogger-like hoofing which leads to fuck all / loss of possession at best

However - he often takes a little too long to make the pass which allows the opposition to close him down in turn putting us under pressure. Needs to improve.

Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings From 2-2 Draw At Sunderland: Vlad Chiriches Has Horror Show, Mousa Dembele Shines On Return To Starting XI | CaughtOffside.com
According to this site ,Vlad made a “horror game “yesterday ,and was the worst Spurs player from the pitch…and never he will catch the first 11 of Spurs”

Is that so??? This "specialist"- andy morris who gave this “verdict”, know that Vlad missed summer training ,pre-season in USA ??? because that injury was forced to stay in London,he lost steps on training, while his team mates grew on fit in that tournament ,he came from behind trying to recover lost weeks on training…he made 2 matches very good (vs Limassol with Spurs and with Romania ,away in Greece (intense match there, phisically) ,you know that international pause break make some troubles on fitness when international players comeback for their clubs,we will see in the next matches what will be ,what I know Spurs have a hard competition on the backline,Fazio,Vertonghen,Chiriches,Kaboul and Dier (who played right back last matches) ,maybe Fazio and Vertonghen are the first line in defense, and Kaboul with Chiriches –the second line, but that just on papers ,an injury ,red cards or other issues could change everything ,Chiriches is the youngest player from defenders, but he posses huge potential to be more good than now,I know this ,because he’s a that kind of player where the morale is very important for him,and launching easy shits on him is absolutely incorrect , in 2 years he will become close to Vertonghen (what he is now) type of player…I know this because I watching him from 3 years in a row, since 2011 ,when was a nobody in the romanian second league, and now compete for a place in the first 11 of Spurs ,at 24 years old currently…

Everybody can post what he thinks on Internet.
The important thing is that Poch has chosen Vlad for the starting 11 and Vlad played for the whole match.
We can all have different opinions on his play, the fact is that three different managers have chosen him in the starting team... time will tell if Poch keeps him there but for now:
Keep calm and keep supporting Vlad ... :adebaehug:

For me, there isn't any doubt that Chiriches is a very talented player.

However, he needs to stop dribbling without any kind of protection on 20-40 yards. It's so unecessary and if he keeps doing this he'll not last long at Spurs..

I don't think he was as bad as people made out, he is an edge of your seat defender which is always going to be uncomfortable to watch and takes some getting used to, but i would say he didn't lose the ball any more nor less than the rest of the defence the only difference is the rest of the defence had wayward passes intercepted where Vlad was tackled, his passing was fantastic yesterday. He has got a mistake in him and he is weak in the air but he does look like he gives a shit unlike Verts, and I'm hoping a Vlad/Fazio partnership has a future as they look like they could be perfect for one another.

I haven't warmed to him (that business about his agent saying he was using us for a stepping stone to get a tranfer to the Chavs still rankles!). I don't think he is any better or worse than Younes or Jan or even Daws, which is where the problem lies - all our CBs are much of a muchness. We will see how the newbies settle in and maybe give Vlad (and the others CBs) a bit of competition and see if they react in the way they should.

As miserable as vertonghen is, on his day he is our best CB, and from the sounds of it he is also set to be made captain, so I think we can take it vertonghen will be first choice. As good on the ball as vlad is, he is a liability and if potch really rated him, I don't believe we would of got fazio. I don't expect vlad to be playing much this season, and yesterday's performance didn't do him any favours. I believe he will be gone of not in january, then next summer. I just don't think he is cut out for the premier league.

Good observation,Prem matches are different than Europa League matches (Limassol, partizan etc) because the superior level in Premier League,I noticed that he like to do so,and he need to play more safety ,simple passes ,not to complicate more than is necessary, while against weaker sides (E.L) he could play more relaxed,I think is a little under pressure after he came after an injury period ,he play 3 matches in a row ,that’s good…I think he still try to regain his level (not ready yet 100%, he missed the summer training pre-season) he’s in fit OK, but not 100% in form.
