We'll probably be back for him in the summer. The talk about him has come from the journalists considered closest to Spurs, so would be surprised if it's complete bullshit.

2011 player of the tournament was Keisuke Honda of Japan who is now at AC MIlan.
He's only 22, so there's a lot to improve with him but the talent is definitely there and he's been killing it in league one with Swindon Town.
