If we sell Kane to Real Madrid, who could/should we try to get in?

235 in possession?

If that's how it plays out then c'est la vie, but i have zero interest in seeing either of them as one of what is typically seen as the front 3.

What about out of possession......? If it 's essentially a 433 then we may as well just call them WBs.
Out of possession it's 4-1-4-1 ish I think.
Ange always played a 4-3-3 at Celtic. If it’s on the right side the right back goes and supports the wide forward who generally stays wide. The right of the 3 in midfield goes and overloads on that side and they create 3v2 situations and most of the time they created chances from it. Celtic put so many crosses across the box from getting in behind the opposition full backs. He likes one centre mid to sit and the other two get forward and join in the game.
He always wants his striker between the posts and in and around the 6 yard box when those crosses come in.
Im looking forward to the change in pace of the whole team.

We could try selling him to Real Madrid on a free but they have to loan him back to us until Kane gets his record. Everybody wins!

Madrid get Kane for free with no competition form other clubs,
Kane will get his record that he wants,
We get to keep him longer than 1 year when we were going to lose him for a free anyway.

assuming he stays healthy and maintains his performance, plenty of teams will pay Kane this wage and more when he's on a free next summer
If we don't flog him this window - can we not just pay him 20mill a year and get him to sign a new 3 year contract?

Surely that's better than letting him walk on a free.

And it's only 1 Ndombele over the 3 years. (Actually less because we spanked shed loads on him but that didn't count his wages)

Yep Brighton just came 6th with Danny Welbeck up front. None of their strikers scored more than 10 goals. Apart from city none of the top 4 had a striker who scored more than 18 goals.

With fluid attacking footy we can spread the goals around a lot more. So it's not as simple as just saying we need to find someone who can replace Kane's 30 goals.
Agreed, when Man U were in their prime I don't think any of their strikers dominated the goals scored stats as the goals came from everywhere

By that time (as we've seen the free-agent thing work) his agent would be advised to command even more at that point.

He'd have also made a roughly 130kpw net loss on his wage packet in the meantime.

It's a fair going rate for him now.... The goalposts move next summer.

If Kane will sign that deal then completely agree with you that it’s better.

Question is would Kane sign (and would Levy offer it or would he be too worried about the club’s wage structure).

I doubt he'd sign. If there's any truth to the report, I'm sure it's simply his way of refusing a move without refusing a move. Needs to see out his contract to pick up the ridiculously large bonus coming his way for signing with Saudi on a free next summer. Don't think there's anything we can do about it now.

I think we could and world absolutely be prepared to meet the alleged £330kpw if he signed a new deal.

Think Harry might have a say in it

Rasmus Højlund would suit Ange's system, we could get 5 years good service out of him and still make a hefty profit when it comes time to sell. That's as long as he fulfills this early promise.
