I don't know
He's not really earning it. Sanchez has been poor in every position. I think we should sell him while he's young and fit and use that money more wisely
I too react and slag players from time to time and especially after Newcastle, but can’t today.

Sanchez was played at RB in a premier league match for the first time ever and had to face premium ( arguably world class ) players away from home @ a stadium that is really hard to get anything from.

No wonder he looked rocky, but facts are facts he never cost us a goal. Never gave up, never moaned and did as much as anyone would do in the circumstances.

Give the guy a pat on the back and say well done, selling him or slagging him is simply not reasonable.

I’m not trying to argue anyone in the back four had a good game. No press on the ball for the 2nd goal either.

Whatever, I’m not throwing the defense in the dumpster yet.
I'm getting close to.

We need a clean sheet and easy win against Palace or there will be questions.

Yes JT. The fact that Woolwich didn’t nick it at the end has allowed me some perspective.

Good: lads almost to a man were shattered going into injury time. Really hanging out if their arses. Good to see.

Set up was good. They were petrified of Son in the first half. Lamela and Winks also had v good first halves.

Lo Celso showed some good touches. Thought Dele would win it for us at the death.

Bad: defending!!! Obsession with passing it out from the back to defenders without the requisite skills will cost us goals this season.

RB? How has this situation occurred? Playing big Dav at RB 4 games in, with Aurier sitting on the bench!

Collective will/spirit/believe. While I congratulate the players for their physical effort by the end, it was a case of same old Spurs when conceding just before half time and giving Woolwich the momentum in the 2nd half. The fact that we all ‘knew’ we’d concede again after half time is telling...

Game management/subs: baffling and bizarre

I usually hate international breaks but this one couldn’t have come at a better stage for us.

Martin Atkinson controlled a thrilling North London derby with great experience and it was an excellent decision not to award Spurs a penalty when Harry Kane went down late on.
Kane used his body and leg to initiate the contact with Woolwich defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos and it was not a penalty. VAR would have checked the incident but Atkinson's on-field decision was correct.
Should Kane be booked for simulation? I would say not as there is contact.
PGMOL will be happy with the use of VAR after such a bad day on Saturday.

'The ref probably thinks I'm looking for it,' Kane continued, which was a sentiment shared by the likes of Graeme Souness, Jose Mourinho, and Jamie Redknapp.
'I think he's looking for it,' said Souness. '[Sokratis] has got his hands on his back which makes it look like a penalty, but he's ready to go down. I'm not sure if Harry's really convinced.'

Sokratis looked to push into the back of Harry Kane as he went down, but not with much force.
'That kind of contact would not justify that fall,' concluded Souness.
'Harry's looking for it,' said Redknapp, but did question why Sokratis was leading with his hands to start with. 'Why even lay hands on him?'
Former Manchester United and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho also didn't believe it should've been a penalty, but would not have been surprised had it been given.
The game ended 2-2, with goals from Christian Eriksen, Kane, Lacazette, and Aubameyang
'I've seen penalties for less,' he said. 'But I don't think [it's a penalty]. Without VAR I would say no for sure, but with VAR now everybody's at risk. I've seen in other countries where VAR is in practice for a couple of years, I've seen worse.'
The game was finely poised at 2-2, after Christian Eriksen opened the scoring for Spurs and Kane scored a penalty in the first half.
Alexandre Lacazette got a goal back just before half-time, and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang poked the ball home to equalise after 71 minutes.

Both teams went looking for a win in what became a very open game in the final 10 minutes.

WTF???

In all honesty, am I disappointed we couldn't hold on to the lead? Of course. But think about the circumstances guys: Jan and Alli's first action of the season, N'dombele didn't play, our third choice center half played right back away in a NLD again their top choice 11. They should be demoralized in all honesty and realize just how big the gap in quality is between our sides.

Go fuck a mongoose prickdribble. We've been utter shit so far this season yet we've got a draw away to the Sandmomkeys and now those cunts.....Newcastle was an aberration but we're nicking points against the so-called big 6. Personally I dreaded today but going to bed relatively happy/ relieved now everyone chill and have a good evening
Thank you Mrs Perryman you've always been a beacon of light and positivity in a darkness of melters, trolls and inbeciles

Apologies to those who made sensible, insightful posts but I haven't got the time to sift through.
Although I would have taken a draw before the game, and I was relieved that we held on at the end, I thought they were there for the taking. Sure, they had more of the possession, but at one count, we definitely had more shots on target.
Don't know what it is about the NLD, but on so many occasions, the team who go ahead usually end up chucking it away.
I felt for Davy, as he is so NOT a full back, surely we would have been better off with Aurier or even Jan?
Good to see Dele back, he does add an extra oomph when he plays forward.
Hugo made some good saves but does annoy me a tad when he doesn't clear the box when kicking out, sometimes it's OK to lump it as far as you can.
Hopefully we can now regroup and get our injured players back, so we're good to go on three weeks.
Spot on

The only reason I can think Poch doesn't play Lucas is because he still thinks he doesn't do enough defensive work.

Save for that, I can't honestly think of any reason why you wouldn't, for the last 15 minutes or so, bring on the really, really fucking quick Brazilian.

I'm getting close to.

God what a melt.

I'm sure at some point over the next couple of days, cooler heads will prevail and realize that Sanchez aside, our back 4 played pretty well. Woolwich dominated possession and we were under constant attack from absolutely top players, and our defense broke up LOTS of promising Woolwich opportunities with important defending. To think Woolwich were going to play with that much possession and not score is just silly. This was destined to be a game where both teams put up some goals as Woolwich pressed hard in attack but is weak on the counter.

Both of Woolwich's goals were very well worked. Melts are always looking to assign blame on every conceded goal. Sometimes the other team's attack is the primary reason they scored, not our defense.

Ndombele didn't play either.....

That’s as good as Woolwich are going to get this season, they threw everything at us but couldn’t beat us. We were at about 50%, missing key players and had players out of position. After the internationals things will improve.
