Yeah, the crowd isn't supporting Slot or Gallardo through hard times. People also hated AVB's football so increased possession is not a panacea either.

AVB’s football was turgid, it was all possession for the sake of possession it was Pepball without any of the movement or rotation up top. Look at Jol, Redknapp and Poch our best managers, most fans where happy with them, it was Levy who drove their sacking.

Let’s say we get Gallardo and he does well, plays football we like, has a plan and improves players but he comes 5th. Levy might sack him anyway even if fans like him.

I don't like scousers.
They are everything I despise, Socialists, work shy, constantly blaming everyone else for their own shortcomings, chip on their shoulder, unpatriotic, ingrates basically.
Not all
of course but most.

Oddly it mostly Liverpool fans, I have a soft spot for Everton oddly..
So Liverpool fans basically... otherwise, that's one HELL of an assumption for an entire City's population!

Like everyone assuming all Spurs fans are JEWISH, and hating us for it....

Imagine THAT world?!!?

What ever is wrong with the club at present, it has nothing to do with the fans. Wea re the ones who lose out and get all the stick. We pay a fortune in the hope of being entertained but the total opposite is happening this season.

There are many things wrong at the club but the fans are not it.

I don’t understand the “most expensive season ticket” comments.

First, it’s not really based off good evidence as far as I know.

Second, the price of a ticket depends on a lot more than the quality of the football. Things like… cost of living in that area. Is there a football loving region of the world than a higher cost of living than London?

Median estimate for a season ticket at Newcastle: £800
Median estimate for a season ticket at TottenhM: £1100

Season ticket is about 37.5% higher at Tottenham.
But the cost of living in London (including rents) is 68% higher.
Wages are about 30% higher in London.

So Londoners pay more for everything than in Newcastle. Football is no different and your season ticket is far from the worst example.

Salt of the Earth.

I had one of my only experiences of overt racism as I approached Goodison Park with my then 13 year old daughter.

A man walked past us, as we crossed the road, and made a hissing noise.

I am not Jewish.

I found out that day what it was like for Jewish Spurs supporters.

I was shocked. This wasn't the 1980's. It was 2005.

Ironically my daughter found a lost handbag on the floor in the pub and we handed it in to the bar staff.

I thought we should have probably nicked it to even things up.

Not buying it.

You tell me another fan base that goes 20 yrs with 1 Carling Cup, still packs it's ground every week. Paying the most expensive prices in the league to watch the worst football. Watching the same players make the same elementary mistakes week in week out.

This fan base is incredibly loyal given the repeated abuse from the club.

I know a few on here have been gaslighted into accepting mediocrity but when people are paying these top prices to go and watch and seeing the lack of heart and the pub level mistakes from this group of gutless wonders and the inept management from the top down, they are more than entitled to voice their anger with a few boos.

Fuck me, you think a few boos is bad. Look around world football at what other fan base are like. Look at the big Italian clubs where if you don't perform the fans come to the training ground and make your life hell.

As Conte rightly said these players don't want to play with pressure or play for anything.

He got turfed out and the poor little lambs are now getting defended again on here.

Fuck that

Are you really suggesting that the standard we should uphold for our fan base is that they don’t go to the training ground and try to attack players ?

We need to be able to separate criticising ‘the club’ from abusing ‘the players’. Supporting our team on the pitch for 90 minutes has sweet AF to do with the super league, Paritici’s appointment or Daniel Levy’s salary. Go through the proper channels or don’t go to the games.

The “mediocrity” you talk of is intrinsically linked to how we choose to support the players and the atmosphere we create both in the ground and outside of it.

Why can’t we strive to be a fan base that isn’t completely toxic? Just because other’s are- doesn’t mean we should be.

This is absolutely correct. Spurs fans really do want to hate their own players as soon as they possibly can.

You even saw it with Porro before he even signed.

I said he'd have to put in 8/10 performances at the bare minimum for this fan base not to turn on him. Lo and behold, they were gunning for his head after his first ever start.

But then if we sign a full back for no money, they're a shit bargain basement type signing anyway.

No, I'm saying that they need to man the fuck up and realize that a few boos is mild. Compared to what other fan bases are capable of.

I will repeat Contes words these players don't want to play under pressure, and they are proving him correct

Another reason why I’m staying away from WHL right now. I’m haven’t been to so few games for decades. As most agree, the club is rotten all the way through. The disintegration of the unity and excitement we had under Poch is unbelievable. We’re a shit version of the Man Utd post-Fergie. Who the fuck did we think we were getting rid of a manager who ‘only’ got consistent top 4 finishes and a fun and glorious CL run?! We’re not Real Madrid FFS. We’re Tottenham. What we were under him was success for us. Massively too.

It's like a certain part of the fanbase has to criticise as a way of saying "lol, told you so"

I look at Woolwich or even Newcastle and their signings and where they are in the league and feel our fanbase would criticise a lot of it. If we had signed a relegated goalkeeper for example, we'd likely have heard nothing more from a particular set about "Lack of ambition", "Relegated for a reason" etc. etc. and any sort of mistake would have been magnified x100.

You never forget your first hiss!

Mine was at the Bridge in the early 70s
I had to ask someone what it was about

Pleased to say that we stuffed the racist cunts 2-0 with goals from Jimmy Pearce

I got soaked as I recall!!

Happy days

Great question.

There’s really poor data to make accurate comparisons.

Chelsea: Ticket Prices - Season Tickets

Woolwich: https://www.Woolwich.com/sites/default/files/documents/Gold ST Pricing - 2223.pdf

(Change the bit before .com)

Tottenham: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/media/k1sgsnz0/stadium_map_thfc_2022-23_season_ticket_renewals.pdf

The eye test says that we’re clearly more expensive than Chelsea (in their shitty tiny stadium full of racist cunts) but we’re about the same as Woolwich. And we have a better stadium to go to.

So comparable?

So, you justify our prices, as Chelsea and Woolwich have inferior stadiums. Wow, are you an industrial architect?
