Is this the strongest side that we can put out at the moment ?
Royal, Dier, Sarr, Solomon, Richarlison.

It becomes more obvious that we need replacements. Seems like a real change in the playing staff is happening. It's worrying that our players are not receiving decent bids.
Ndombele for £18m over 3 years !! What ??

Every reason to expect to see another match with 11 starters but probably nobody completing the match so as to allow Ange to see most of the others not featuring in first match - especially with 3rd match on 26th (3 days later) so minimal rest/recuperation between 2nd and 3rd matches.

Ange might even rest the players who did well in first match (ie he's not going to learn more about them eg Bissouma) so they will be fresh and the core of the side to play in Singapore 3 days after Leicester.

And anyone playing more than 45 mins v Leicester probably will not play much part in the 3rd match.

Or Ange could think of this Leicester match as the throw away game.

The internationals are just getting back. He hasn’t had much time to work with them. He could let the back ups take on Leicester which would allow more practice time with the first teamers to play vs the Sailors

Wouldn't mind seeing this tbh. If Ndombele is fit, I'd like to see what he can do as one of the 8s and if Son isn't fit the Solomon to start.
 
9 Players not featuring in first match :
Whiteman, Keeley, Dier, White, Ndombele, Rodon, Scarlett, Son , Spence,

A couple might not be fit, but you'd expect a number of these to feature in the 2nd match, whether as starters or subs - but who is obviously Ange's choice.

My guess is he's going to look at players individually to decide who plays.

But a lot of criteria to consider :
- Did they look good in first match (= not imperative to see them in 2nd game). Eg Maybe Bissouma
- Did they look bad in first game (= need to see if they look better with different players beside them) Eg Reguillon
- Do they need to appear for publicity/sponsor reasons (eg Kane, Maddison)
 
it's a friendlly so it's a chance to impress. we won't get many more chances to look at these players

Because of their Thai owners they play in Thailand most Summers.
That doesn't mean they didn't think that they weren't going down.
 
This is the game to play ALL your best players.
Next game is very basic opposition so then play the 2nd string and see who impresses.
This seems the shortest pre-season for years.
One game against Shaktor and then Barca and into the league at Brentford.
We need to start well this season.

would give emerson a go at CB, cant be worse than tanganga, dier or davies. highlights the need desperate need for a CB too.
