It's more complicated than that...... Son is a v.v.good finisher.

We completely ran out of ideas after about 55mins...... 90% of what we do comes from our right (the other 10% being Jonson or Son breaking to try and breach the oppo back line) and If we don't get 2 up in the first half we're gassed and it all gets progressively slower and ponderous and we're just faced with the age-old problem of how do we break down a 9/10 man defense (something that we've struggle with under 5/6 diff. managers and numerous STs inc. Kane.).

I also think Son & BJ side by side lacks presence when there's no space to exploit.

Porro jazzed things up a bit when he was playing RW cos he looks for the early delivery, but that's the only bright spark of the 2nd 45 minutes which was otherwise shit.

We’re such a strange club.

We sell Kane and then buy Johnson and Veliz for the best part of £70 million, in the hope that they might hit their straps in the 2026/7 season.

But what about now? Son is brilliant but we’ve known for 3 or so years that he is mercurial.
 
Someone needs Ange to change the style a bit when we are winning we play like we are loosing all the time it's like panic sets in everyone is running round fucking mad picking yellow cards up and that

Udogie also absent in the final third. He had a bit of chemistry with Son and Perisic in the past, but nothing with Johnson.

Bottom line is the squad just isn’t good enough

Why would you not want owners who build a team around kane & really try to win things. Ones who back the manager with more than 2 suitable CBs & a good striker to replace the world class one you let down & had to let go.
Either they are doubling down on their love of levy/enic despite getting it so wrong all these years. Or they genuinely want to keep levy/enic at the expense of the clubs success & players like kane. Or they just love us being crap so they can claim to be proper supporters & super happy & positive whilst dishing out personal attacks full of hate, & seeming very angry & on the edge when reading criticism of their beloved leaders. Or they are just trolls like steeve admitted to being.
Now we have to hope city turn it around or Liverpool stop Woolwich or else it’s going to get even worse.

You can't blame injuries on that result at all. Their first goal was a lucky as fuck deflection, 99/100 times that goes anywhere but perfectly in the path of their oncoming striker, however we only had 1 of our first choice players missing in the completely toothless front 4 in Madds, Lo Celso is far from the biggest step down in the squad to a backup player either, and their 2nd goal was 100% Udogies massive fuck up, who is first choice at LB. Having VDV in wouldn't have mattered a fuck for either of their goals.

Doubt it, he keeps telling us it's the only way he plays, so we either need to buy someone who can finish to help out Son, or someone is going to have to step up and start banging them in.

We've still not got even close to replacing Kane's goals.


Without a quality finisher, if Son goes off the boiler, we're fucked.
