Stayed away from here last night, haven't read through the thread, but what can I say, it just wasn't meant to be! Kane's ball rolling back off the line proved that, maybe we need to make a sacrifice to the footballing gods at Wembley before next season? :levystare:
It's important we just pick ourselves up for mid week and be there in case these plastic cunts slip up! Let's finish the season winning all our remaining PL games and take the frustration out on woolich!

Hard to be upset. We played great at times and were better, but Chelsea were more clinical. Our defending on the 3rd goal was piss poor and that was the game.

I'd rather lose like this than be thoroughly outclassed. We still have a bright future and with continued performances like this, if you add a bit of luck and and experience, we will eventually get what we deserve.
I agree mate. We showed a lot of steel to come back twice especially considering the nature of the penalty. They scored two worldies to win the game and on another day it could have been us.

Also felt on the most part our fans were awesome. Going down Wembley way it was all spurs singing. On the escalator up you were greated by loads of mad yids banging on the walls. When Kane scored I felt like I was having an out of body experience and nearly passed out it was so noisy. Even when we were 4 2 down we still had a group of fans singing oh when the spurs.

For me though the main negatives came from the behaviour of a minority of fans. Two dickheads started having a fight in the stands.

Also outside the stadium to the right there was a big mob of spurs hoolies some wearing ski masks starting on any one that went past them. That included spurs fans who they though were chelsea. I saw one guy with a broken nose. Those guys are an embarsement to the club.

Nice post mate. Who would you like to sacfise to the football gods? Terry or Fabregas would do for me. I hate those cunts.

The yid support was unreal yesterday, shows how plastic them chav cunts really are, on my train up was full of yids going mental, up the escalators, and in the stadium , so well done lads, but it just weren't meant to be, but I would take us loosing every time over support a plastic team such as them cunts!!

Edit- skipped through your first post, didn't see anyone kicking off myself, but fuck them cunts, if they wanna fight go do it out of sight so others can enjoy the day.....

We didn't score more goals (2) than the errors we made (4). Simple.
We are a very good side and my true feelings were we would lose this and win the PL. I still believe this. COYS

To be fair, it was just 3 errors but the point still stands.

I just find it astonishing how at Wembley, we've conceded 10 goals from only 13 shots allowed. Compare that to how many shots we allow at White Hart Lane and how many we concede.

This one is hard to take..
We were the only team trying to play football, that scoreline doesn't reflect the game at all.
Chelsea put 10 men behind the ball and launched it forward hoping that anyone would get on the end of it.
We strangely gifted them 3 goals, that's so out of character for this team.
3 of our most reliable members of staff made mistakes yesterday so it's hard to be angry with them.
1) Mr reliable Alderweireld gave away a needless free kick for the first
2) Lloris should have done better with the free kick it was on 'his' side.
3) The best manager in the league made an unexplainable team selection by putting Son as LWB.
I still can't get my head around that.
Really not the time to experiment with the best defence in the league.

But as I said, these three have done us so proud all season you can't be angry with them.

As so often these days anti-football won the day..
Get everyone behind the ball, hoof it and then dive where possible.Well done Cunt FC you must be so proud.

It would be one of the biggest travesties in football if this group of players don't win a trophy but as long as we learn from our mistakes I'm sure it will come.

Feel so deflated today. The only consolation was we totally out performed their shit house fans.. the only time you heard them was when it went to 4-2.
Horrible nothing shit club..

On the Son point - above and Beyond Davies being injured:

1) we need to play 3 at the back to push Chelsea back and play our game - this worked apart from moments

2) if Davies is not available, we sacrifice our middle of park play if you move Verts out to LWB, and bring in Winner to join Dier/Toby

3) so you go with Left hand side attacking pace - right now that really only is Son as first choice

It does make sense, but it also shows up our gap in the current system if we lose 1st and 2nd choice LWB

It then also narrows our attack by switching to a 2 behind Harry instead of 3

But what it was was a plan D - last year everyone was worried Poch had only 1 way of playing - we can now change up and adjust, as the second half of the season has shown, depending on oppo and personnel available.

And 9 times out of 10 it works

Does it hurt still, fuck yes. But is it obvious just how far we have progressed under our sexy MoPo? Yes - and i am starting to wonder if we are seeing the birth of what Fergie did in the 86-91 period

what happened at the end behind our goal lower tier?, looked like a chav in our end getting escorted out. whilst leaving he still had a dozen coppers protecting him

In hindsight maybe it was wrong to play Son as LB. But 3 set pieces hasn't to much to do with the team selection.

What seems to be a problem at Wembley, in not sure it's because of the bigger field or whatever. But teams that has pace in counter attacking have been extremely difficult to deal with. I don't know if it is some kind of group naivity that makes this a threat. Also I feel that Spurs almost never goes for the counter attack. It's almost always, control the ball and slowly begin the build up.

For next season I hope Poch develops a plan for handling counter attacks in both directions. Some easy goals would be welcome.
