Worth mentioning that you used to get more of the UEFA TV prize pot for finishing higher up in the CL places, it was done on percentages (40,30,20,10). No idea if it is the same from next season with the new format but you definitely get quite a bit more.

OK. So would they have had to add another team in to even things out if Liverpool didn't qualify through PL? I don't understand where the slot would have come from/been paired up.
