With no Europe, some luck and a big addition in Jan you could end up contending if it ends up a wild season with a somewhat lower pts total. On balance of performances so far, and the quality of squads, I'd be expecting us to be behind City, Ars and Lpool in fourth place around Christmas time.

If you had no Europe and fewer World Cup players, you really were laughing last season. Boot will be on the other foot in the spring for us, when we will have not played much.
