I thought Sonny's interview on ZDF was good. Respect all round and no gloatingI've lived in Germany for eight years now. The commentators here look at English teams and the national side as a bit of a joke (guess we should be thankful for the attention?), but last night was class. The commentators and the players in their post-match interviews all looked as though they'd been to the doctor and been told "I'm afraid your cancer has AIDS".
Chelsea won this competition playing the same way a few years ago - lucky bastards when they beat Barcelona. Leicester City won the league Playing in the same way Chelsea were very similar last season in the league long ball merchants. And I hope we have luck from now to the end of the season and win everything don't give a shit to be honest.A lot of people out there are pushing the narrative that this was a lucky win and we didn't deserve it. Which was to be expected of course. If Chelsea or Liverpool had done it exactly like this, they'd all be talking about the genius of the manager, clever performance, etc etc.
Sure there was an element of luck just like there is in most football matches, but that is by no means the only takeaway from this match. There were so many other important factors and the win was largely down to good tactical planning and immense performances from a lot of the guys on the pitch.
Agreed, he expresses himself very well.I thought Sonny's interview was good. Respect all round and no gloating

I don't think we were even that defensive or negative. We were up against a great team in a competition and at a stadium that are both still new to us and we have struggled with, so it was always going to be tough and balanced on a knife's edge. And we had to fight hard and find a way to win, and we did it whilst still creating plenty of goal scoring chances.Chelsea won this competition playing the same way a few years ago - lucky bastards when they beat Barcelona. With all the talk about his goalscoring, it's easy to forget the important contributions he makes to our defence.
We just earned a ton more respect after that game that's for sure!I thought Sonny's interview was good. Respect all round and no gloating
Dear oh Dear, now that we've messed up todays entire schedule on Talkshite, instead of talking about how poor we are at Wembley or how poor we are in Europe as planned, they have had to mix it up a bit and spend the day talking about how some Agent from Real Madrid has spoken to Dele and it's only going to end with him leaving. Also how Kane will be on his way in January.
Little credit for pulling of the result off the first round.
The media seem to be on a loop....
if we win/play well then all of our players are going to leave
if we lose/play badly then no one wants our players because we are shit
I liked Walker and was disappointed when he left, but could you imagine him in Aurier's position here?
Our fans were fucking embarrassing a) for not turning up more people turned up to watch Burnley!! b) Those that did go were our sung from the first whistle to the last by Dortmund, true fucking awful by us. For those saying the problem is Wembley, well that didn't stop Dortmund singing for 90 mins last night!
Why was there so much confusion as to whether it was a straight red or 2nd yellow? the ref clearly ran toward Jan with a yellow raised before producing a red?
Given the choice of being in a noisy contrived stadium and a silent one, I'll take contrived one every single time. "We" were fucking shit as supporters last night, absolute silent bar singing two songs.I really wouldn't want us to support Spurs like Dortmund's fans do.
Fine they make a lot of noise, but it's pretty contrived.
