We need a centre forward to fill in for Kane. And the reality is specialists, like Osimhen, won't come, as they don't want to be second choice and don't want to play wide. So the smart move is Rich, who is a first team level player, and happy to come as he knows he'll get plenty of game time across the front 3. We're talking about Brazil's starting centre forward. This is several levels up from the guys we've tried to back up Kane with before like Vinny or Janssen.

Not really sure who got the 'best' one because Chelsea badly needed a bit more magic in their front 3 and Raphinha is a big upgrade on Ziyech, whereas we needed someone who could offer a depth/4th best option across the trio.
In terms of ability its Raphinha, Richarlison & then Jesus imo. I expect all 3 to do pretty well without being gamechanging signings.
Why are you still bitching about lack of trophies in the last several decades? That’s not going to change from the last 3 days, when you had your last bitchfest. Do you expect to wake up tomorrow and find a cabinet full of trophies and that the ndombele etc. signings never happened?

Lucas will always be special, but I wish he was 5 years younger so we could be optimistic about him taking it up a notch. I'll be happy to see him next season, but I expect someone like Richarlison to compete more for a starting spot.
I'd still argue Richarlison is more of a game changer for Spurs though - with the frequency of games next season (one month shorter than last season due to world cup) rather than Kane or Son playing say 80% of games as they did last season, I see both only playing say 70% with Richarlison playing the remaining 30% of Kane's and same for Son, so he plays 60% of the games.
Leaving Moura as a general purpose sub and covering perhaps 30% of RW position with Kulusevski playing 70%.
So I think Richarlison is a big upgrade for us - and preferably I'd like another forward in (creative type) as we are still very tight in forward positions
Where are we short? I’m guessing the 5th CM would be Sarr. Not exactly thrilled with Spence/Doherty at RWB but don’t see us being short anywhere else.
I don’t get the joyousness of some fans that raphina is not going to goons but going to Chavs. He only improves then as far as I can see. For the price we should have been after him. I really don’t get why a lot of fans on here don’t want someone who has that extra but if magic. It’s almost strings me of some saying our front 3 is better than the others. Remember that front 3 drew a blank v Brighton and Brentford. There is no harm in adding quality. I just hope at the end of the season people arnt saying wish we had that extra bit of magic when we can’t break teams down. Find it real strange of some.
Raphinha will be a pretty big game changer for Chelsea. Ziyech hasn't settled at all in England and Pulisic & Odoi are bang average footballers. If he replicates anything like his Leeds form they'll have double the output from that right hand side. James/Raphinha is pretty scary on paper.
Richarlison is a good signing, helps us a lot. Don't get why people are anti it, I swear to god if we were signing a Brazilian international with his stats from a different league people would be very happy. Familiarity breeds contempt or something?
