Didnt we sell Bentaleb for £18/£20M? If so the buyback would be something like £30M, and hes not worth that, not even in this insane market we have now

If we want to buy a key player from a CL last 16 club (ie a good level player from a club at the same general level as Spurs - UEFA rank Schalke as 24th, Spurs at 18th at the moment), there will be a significant cost whoever it is.

If you want a less player good/experienced, the price may be less.

Apparently we were offered Tielemans? Or Levy offered Poch and Poch turned it down.

Not sure what Poch is playing at. In fact, someone should take the transfer reins from him anyway.

Of course we'll never know which ones Poch wanted, but our signings have been naff.

Also, as much as Sissoko has had a turnaround this season, he's still really not good enough to be a starter - and for his resurgence, Poch has dropped the ball with KWP/our RBs/fitting in our attackers etc.

Yeah it's great to have workhorses, but without any quality to go with it? Come on Poch.

If that is true about Tielmans, it doesn't mean too much. Just because you may get offered a player it doesn't equate to just sign on the dotted all lime it is all good. It could have been wages, it could have been player choice, it could have been player attitude, it could be strategically not what Poch wanted, or he isnt as enamoured with him as others may be.

Interesting to see that, as of 2011/2012 Tottenham had actually spent more on transfers than Man U, Woolwich & Liverpool had (we'd spent £12m more than Man U had between the years 1991/2012 according to see numbers). This slow down in spending coincides with roughly when the Northumberland Development Project properly kicks in 2011/2012.

From 1991-2009/10 we were actually the 6th biggest spenders of money in all of Europe and our name only comes into the mix 2004/2005 times, a solid 3-4 years into Levy and ENIC being at the club.

I can only assume he saw how fucking shit he was at Monaco and decided against it.

Stellar Football Ltd - Player agency - Player Agents

Check out the players Jonathan Barnett's agency represents. We could literally do all of our squad tweaks literally going through them.

The 5 live podcast I listened to the other night with Barnett on him spoke about how many scouts he has working for him etc. By the look of things we could do a lot worse than tapping up a few of his employees.

Mad how many they represent that we've been linked with.
That explains the Andersen links :levywhoa:

Jarod Bowen with his 20 and 21st goals for the season. Grealish with another match winning display.

2 players we should be after, but if their teams go up, they might stay, especially Grealish.
