This talk of us getting in Messi AND Ronaldo seems a bit far fetched ... especially when we supposedly already have Bale and Modric on the way.

Shaqiri looked good last night because he has placed himself on the shop window, he is lazy and fat body builder with random footballing skills, not sort of player Poch wants in the squad.

Buying a few young, cheaper players and developing them will always be better for the club than buying an expensive has-been or spending £200 million on Neymar or some other waste-of-space gobshite. It ain't the Tottenham way fellah, it just ain't.

The risks involved spending that kind of money on footballers will generally outweigh the potential reward.

And as for what we deserve, a lot of us have turned up year after year and have never even thought about what we fucking deserve mate. We support! that's our fucking job.

First off nobody's talking about 200m+ signings so that's some bollocks. Secondly, bit funny when you talk about the Tottenham way considering we broke transfer records during the clubs most succesful era

Competition? That's fucking stupid. Kane needs no motivation as he's in competition with himself, his rivals and historic greats. He is a nailed on starter whatever. Plea or whoever would simply be an alternative to give Kane a rest or play alongside him or if injured. That's the problem. Whoever comes in has to be good enough, or become good enough, to displace someone else in the team.

Pléa is used to being the back up/secondary striker and has been quite effective alongside Balotelli for Nice.

Questions is if he might see his chance to be main man for Nice now that Mario is moving on

Because businesses tend not to worry about petty bullshit like that if it gets in the way of business? If the buying club and player both want that specific move then the choice for Madrid is make 50 million or piss a player off?

This is a superb post to be fair and hammers home the illustrious history some of our younger fans often overlook. We are a bigger club than many of our own supporters give us credit for.

I love this world in which we are able to buy those 4 players, but Dier and Trippier are still getting in the team.
