having read that more it isn't a named squad - just those likely to play if their clubs would release them.

We potentially would lose Sandro, but give that the tourney takes place in the last week of July until around the second week in August, it shouldn't be too much of an issue should we let Sandro take part.

A development in the Vertonghen saga as well. He has now stated that "Tottenham is his preferred club.." and that "Tottenham is a fantastic traditional club who play football in a way I like.

"Ajax was the perfect club for me, but Spurs will be very close in nearing that already. They buy young, eager and offensive-minded players."

Looks Promising!

I'm concerned we are yet again going to dither and either not really improve or pay over the odds for someone who does well at the Euros.

It seems Wenger and fergie have made a few moves already, as have Chelsea.

With H lording it up on the BBC at the Euro's I hope they have a plan in place already....

And RE the list of free agents you posted in the ITK thread Sibs, United said a while back that they were going to use their option to extend Berbatovs contract, which i think they have since done, and Ben Foster won't be a free agent, just his loan contract expiring at WBA. That website is quite confusing with it not distinguishing whether its a loan or contract expiring.

Is there a minimum we can expect this summer?

I only ask as we could find ourselves in a state of limbo again with Redknapp in his last year (and of course finishing 3rd or 6th is an enormous difference).

I would 'expect' at least 7 players to leave this summer, as such we have to bring in at least 4...of which two must be first choice (striker and centre half).

Can't see it being anyone in England tbh. He doesn't seem very highly rated and most teams are okay for left backs. Wasn't there rumours last year about Juventus or someone from Italy? Would be surprising as he's stated before that he loves living in London.

Based on BAE's age and position his value is just going to go down from here. I could see levy accepting a decent offer for him, say anything over £10M.

"I have a gentleman's agreement with the chairman. As he is a man of his word, I hope that will make things easier if a great club comes in."

Anyone ever heard that before? :levywtf:
