Note the player description comments on Byfield below from the Article , I think same may be true of Williams-Barnett.
In current Year 1 we have lads born in 2006 (eg Lehane) and 2007 (eg Moore). I think the cut off dob to get into academy is August hence each academy year group straddles 2 years - possibly following school years as well.
Next year's academy intake will straddle 2007 and 2008, with only those born in 2nd half of 2008 included, Williams-Barnett dob 19/4/2008 I think may fall out of that year group, but is playing up a year.
