We are pleased to confirm that our Under-21s will return to Enfield Town for the traditional pre-season friendly between the sides next month.

This year’s match will take place on Tuesday 18 July, kick-off 7.30pm at Queen
Elizabeth II Stadium.

Enfield Town’s home ground is located just a stone’s throw from our Training Centre and has played host to this popular and well-attended fixture every year since 2018.

Tickets will be available at the turnstiles on the night, or online in advance via Enfield Town FC’s website.

Auspicious thread starting and Moore signing an usual 3year deal.

Thanks to the heavy contributors Spursidol Spursidol Football Chap Football Chap et al.Hoping to see further uptick in high end talent, plus a sign of real planning and structure around loans and physical development more broadly.

Yup think we'd all agree things need to change and get more professional ........ first step is an Academy Manager ......... just putting my cv in :D :D :wall: ...... I jest but I could be tempted !

Swiss Style Format

  • 1 x single group containing 25 teams
  • Teams seeded based on multi-year performance
  • Fixtures drawn from 5 pots based on seedings
  • A 21-game week scenario would involve teams playing each club in their own pot plus 4/5 teams in all other pots, either home or away (would equate to 20 regular season games)
  • Results generate a combined table that determines play-off positions
  • UEFA Champions League will introduce this format in 2024/25

We’ve done a Woolwich!

Will hopefully mean we can loan out a couple more players in January rather than keep them around because we're worried about the effect of taking them out the u21 side and we can also continue to develop players until the end of the season instead of drafting in over-age players like Moura to try to save the side

It's a variant of the No Relegation European Super League proposal, with no football authorities or govts to object.

I note The Empire's Blueprint:

UEFA Champions League will introduce this format in 2024/25
