players that make the odd mistake here and there isnt the same as someone whos making them time and time again and never learning. come on get real ffs! you think fans just have it out for aurier by chance? nothing to do with him being a liability? i suppose they just dont like him..nothing to do with football
Aurier has started 8 games this season in the Premier League. He hasn't made mistakes time and time again at all. Again, this is where fans brains tell them something they just haven't seen. Or being hyperbolic of Auriers season based on his last performance.
"You're only as good as your last performance" should the forums tagline. When we lose, Aurier is shit. Lloris is passed it. We need to upgrade on Dier. Sissoko is useless. Ndombele is a luxury etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
Man Utd - 1 goal and 1 assist. Can't think of any mistakes he made at all.
West Ham - His late free kick (wrongly ruled as a foul) lead to a goal that is widely credited as a Winks error, Besides that, relatively solid. Reguilon had a stinker though, probably gets away with it as he got an assist.
Man City - Arguably our best defender. Probably MOTM.
Chelsea - Again, arguably our best defender. Probably MOTM.
Woolwich - Solid. Had a hand in our second goal with a brilliant interception and pass.
Crystal Palace - Solid. But late free kick (Which again wrongly ruled as a foul) clouds most peoples judgement of overall performance.
Liverpool - Easily his best ever game in a Spurs shirt. MOTM.
Leicester - Stinker. Gave away a penalty.
id have doherty over aurier just on the fact hes not let the team down on a reguar basis and is a major weak link. you dont have to be much of a right back to be better than aurier. just dont be brain dead and youre pretty much there as youre only up against someone who can jump high then.
no one makes them braindead challenges as much as aurier, hes nailed on to put us under pressure when theres no need. the penalty against leicester was actually comical, head down like an actual bull in a china shop...couldnt make it up.
Fair enough.
I'm not going to change your mind on Aurier - and you're probably never going to give him credit for the good season he's having so far overall. Just like I am not going to change my mind that Doherty so far has been one huge waste of £16,000,000.
